Also you claim he is not a billionaire(probably true) and never was (please your deludded), according to guiness world records he earnt $125 million in 1989 alone, so I think its safe to say he`s earnt $1000 million ($1 billion) in his entire career. Well then your comment was perposely misleading, you new full well that the 4.5 figure was actually on ticket sales, you tried to link that to watching something by satilite, actually michael jackson has had similar figures himself 500 million people watched the debut of his black or white music video and a billion people say his superbowl performance in 1993.

Also if he is so disgraced how come he has still sold a large number of albums after 1993? HIStory sold 36 million units(double album so its X 2), Blood sold 6 million units, invincible sold 8 million units, number ones sold 6 million units, and essentuals sold 4 million units(double album so its times 2), thats 60 mil units!!

HIStory sold 18 million (would have been over 30 million without 1993), Blood was deservedly a flop, the awful Invincible had incredibly low figures and his endless greatest hits compilations don't count. He didn't put out anything new for ten years and his career finisheda decade ago.

Then there were the singles from these albums and of cause his old albums were still selling relatively well, after 1993 he has still sold near 100 million records(albums and singles) yes I accept its nothing like what he was selling pre 1993 but its still very impressive exspecially for a person accused TWICE, who had changed his skin colour (yes I accept he did) and has had so much plastic surgery. you cant say greatest hits albums dont count thats not fair, elvis has released 95 albums around the globe in different countries, if these figures werent allowed to be included he wouldn`t have sold as many albums, so I think its safe to say jacksons re releases should be included to maintain equality.

I have heard all the music of course. Anyway we are only talking about Jackson the solo artist so from 1979 onwards. He never regained it after 1993 and the good songs on HIStory were those he had written before his arrest like Earth Song. I'm sorry but I really don't know how any teenager could worship Jackson now. 15-20 years ago perhaps. Anyway he was only a poor man's Liberace/Freddie Mercury.

the good Songs on HIStory were the singles (scream,your are not alone, earthsong, the dont care about us and stranger in moscow) if you actually look at the sales figures for his album the HIStory album is the second best singles seller of his career after thriller singles, this is a big achievement considering the 93 alligations and the fact history only had 5 singles released where as thriller, bad and dangerous all had at least 8.

It would have been almost twice that without the Jordie Chandler scandal, so the album was still a disappointment

Also you fail to remember some important facts, you still protest that 8 million for invincible is poor for jackson, yes of course it is, but it would be enough to make any other artist a superstar in todays market, take justin timberlake his debut solo album has sold 7.5 million and it made him huge, his second album has sold 6.5 million at the moment and will come to a holt somewhere around 8.5 -9 million. Justin timberlake is viewed by the media as the biggest solo artist on the planet at the moment with sales figures for albums that have both sold almost identically to invincible, the fact that 7.5 makes timberlake a superstar but 8 million makes jackson a fallen star says something about the ficalty of the media and how huge jackson is.

His new album has great potential to be a hit, a lot has changed in music since 2001, Justin timberlake and Usher are on top of the planet and that is because there biggest influence is Michael Jackson, put simply Michael Jackson style music is very popular at the moment, and there will be a lot of attention in the media to see if jackson can live up to the new kids on the block, maybe he wount, but should we disrespect him if he cant match them, no , he`s nearlly 50 leave him alone for christs sack, never the less the intrege of it all with be good publicity for his album.

He isn't going to make a huge comeback as you know, because he has had far more controversy than any other entertainer ever (most of the revelations about Elvis came out in the last year of his life when his career was dwindling). Also, I don't know of any artist who ever made a comeback at that age, Bing Crosby starred in "The Country Girl" and received another Oscar nomination at 51 but had the good sense to semi-retire after that, making "High Society" his last major film.

Mercury may have been gay but he at least pretended to be straight and was accepted by many homophobes. Perhaps you saw a program in the UK the other night about Liberace, it shows how he really began the kind of music and shows that Jackson held and was a major influence on Mercury, Elton and Wacko.
