Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "MJP Architects", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because because you might have interest with MJP Architects by creating account with the name and editing it as first edit. Thus your edits may not be neutral due to your interest on the article. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Ammarpad (talk) 10:04, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm NewEnglandYankee. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to MJP Architects have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 15:26, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, MJP Architects. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article MJP Architects, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 15:26, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at MJP Architects, you may be blocked from editing. NewEnglandYankee (talk) 15:29, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising. WikiMasterGhibif (talk) 15:38, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Drmies (talk) 15:39, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was updating the information that was outdated. MJP awards section was out of date, the awards are facts not promotion. I was also editing the text as it wasn't reflective of our most recent work nor was it very neatly laid out. I was adding headings and changing the bad selection of photographs. There was no promotion, nor was there advertising. The reason why I linked to our website was so that people could see more information on the buildings listed as it was impossible to add photographs. Our buildings are iconic and many of them public. We are not trying to boost marketing we want to allow people to find out more about our existing buildings. If you take a look at many other architects Wikipedia pages they are laid out the same way as I was intending to lay out MJP. I believe your moderators made a knee jerk reaction without actually looking at what I was doing.

Decline reason:

You will not be unblocked until:

If you have no interest in editing Wikipedia beyond writing about your organisation, then you will not be unblocked. If this is the case, I recommend you consider alternative outlets. Yunshui  11:18, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It's ok, I'm not interested in being unblocked or doing anything. I will no longer contribute as it's too pathetic.

Decline reason:

Fair enough. As you wish to remain blocked, I am declining this unblock request. Yamla (talk) 13:39, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
