Conflict of interest
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (MILMEDCOE) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization or adding links to its website.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:24, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

below this notice. Thank you. Danger (talk) 20:42, 21 September 2011 (UTC)Orphaned non-free media (File:MILMED_COE_logo.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MILMED_COE_logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 21:42, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

MILMEDCOE → Tigrisszem
[edit]
- Current name: MILMEDCOE (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · target logs · block log · list user · global contribs · central auth · Google) (ping user)
- Requested name: Tigrisszem (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · target logs · block log · list user · global contribs · central auth · Google)
- Previous renames: current user, target user, Queue: open req, closed req
- AntiSpoof: antispoof check
- For global renamer: rename user
- Datestamp: 07:19, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- Reason: current name not acceptable due to conflict of interest according to Wikipedia, I was advised to rename it. There is no conflict of interest in my opinion, I just would like to present an organisation in an objective manner, and create a page for it, just like NATO and many other organisations have pages like that, so please rename my account and unblock it. Speedy deletion nomination of User:MILMEDCOE/NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE)
[edit]A tag has been placed on your user page, User:MILMEDCOE/NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine (MILMED COE), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
