Notability of Mihir Deo

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mihir Deo, by Useight (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mihir Deo seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mihir Deo, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Mihir Deo itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 16:11, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Akash Jagannathan has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. And now in AfD -> Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Akash Jagannathan Tintin 18:18, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Akash Jagannathan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Akash Jagannathan is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Akash Jagannathan saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Clicketyclack 05:35, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of AJ

Mihir, the problem is that playing for U-15 is just not important enough. It is way below the first class standard, especially so in a non-Test playing nation. Currently the informal criteria followed is that the player should have played at least at first class or List A level. Most people are against including even U-19 players (who have not played first class cricket) even though it is very close to first class standard. For a lower level player to be "big enough" for an encyclopaedia, he has to do something really exceptional, like A. E. J. Collins. Tintin 06:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
