I know that there exists some way to find the names for animal groupings and what males and females are called but I don't know where to look. Examples - HERD of deer. GAGGLE of geese. Buck or Doe Cob or hen and so on. What is that called and where do I find it?

Collective nouns. One list of such nouns exists here. (For the future and FYI, the best place to ask fact questions in Wikipedia is the Reference desk :-) ) --Bonadea (talk) 19:20, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. WackyWace talk 09:27, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
