[edit]

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Samtar talk · contribs 10:04, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

We are web content manager and would like to up to date the wikipage of our company. Please unblocked us or at least allow us to create a new account. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Wikipedia does not permit accounts that are shared by multiple users, nor that give the impression of being shared from their username. Wikipedia has strict rules pertaining to the conflict of interest affecting users in your situation, which boil down to: you cannot write about your company on Wikipedia. In order to be unblocked, you will need to select a new username, and agree that you will not edit the Luxembourg Stock Exchange page. If you have no intention on Wikipeida beyond editing this page, your account will not be unblocked. Yunshui  10:52, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Thank you, I understand. However, the information about our company is wrong, in many cases outdated. How can we deal with this issue? Can someone from Wikipedia approved users help us out? Thank you. Louis

Decline reason:

Procedural decline; no reason given to consider lifting the block, no new username picked. To answer your question, if unblocked, you would suggest changes on the article's discussion page, after disclosing your conflict of interest. See WP:COI. Yamla (talk) 12:55, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I would like to up to date the page of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. If it's not possible can you explain me how to do it ? I have a Word file with all the new data. Thanks

Decline reason:

Have you read the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline? Note that with a conflict of interest, it would be acceptable for you to edit the article only to correct minor errors in spelling or grammar, revert obvious vandalism, and add citations to reliable sources independent of your company, but any substantive changes must be proposed on the article talk page for others to review, not put into the article yourself. To do this, you would start a new section on the talk page and preface your proposal with {{request edit}}, which will cause your request to be listed on a category page that some users here monitor. If you can promise that you have read and understood Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, and that you will abide by the restrictions I have described, please create a new unblock request and I will be happy to unblock you.

By the way, if you want to retain an association with your employer in your username, it would be acceptable to use a name like "Louis D at Luxembourg Stock Exchange" or "Louis D at LSX" because that name clearly belongs to you personally while disclosing your employer affiliation at the same time. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:24, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Editing a page with a conflict of interest

[edit]

You must use {{Request edit}} on the article's talk page, you must not edit a page that you have a conflict of interest. Thank you, - Mlpearc (open channel) 14:25, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
