Welcome

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Yahoo! Answers appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 15:40, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Yahoo! Answers. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 15:53, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:Ioeth may be offensive or unwelcome. If you are the user, please log in under that account and proceed to make the changes. Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you. Please leave me messages on my talk page, not my user page. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 15:55, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: User talk:Ioeth. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. At any rate, your changes are still not encyclopedic. Please do not re-add them to the Yahoo! Answers article again. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 16:07, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Yahoo! Answers, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 16:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for edit-warring at Yahoo! Answers

[edit]

Lunasblade, User:Ioeth reported you to WP:AIV for repeatedly inserting a long, unencyclopedic block of text into the Yahoo! Answers article. I have blocked you for three hours; this is not a punishment, but I do wish to stop you from editing disruptively as you have been doing.

From what I've gathered from your edits, I ask you to please realize that Wikipedia is not your personal soapbox for venting your concerns, and that using the article's subject as a reference should be avoided whenever possible. I will leave loeth a note on their talk page to leave you a message here (where you will still be able to edit during your block) so that the two of you can come to a rational understanding.

If you continue to edit in a disruptive manner after your block ends, you will be blocked again.

If you have questions, please post them here. A Traintalk 16:38, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lunasblade,

Since you are a new user here at Wikipedia, I'd like to extend an offer of assistance for you in the future. You seem very motivated to contribute, however, the content that you are contributing does not conform to many of our policies:

  • Also, the claims that you were making in your addition technically constitute original research (as they were slightly more coherent than a rant), which violates Wikipedia's no original research policy.
  • Your continued addition of this content (including multiple reverts) also constituted a violation of the three revert rule policy. This policy is a bit less straight-forward than the previous two, but basically it says that you may not perform more than three reverts (in whole or part) on a single page within a 24-hour period.

You seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot, but that's okay, part of being a member of the Wikipedia community is learning to follow the policies so that you can make valid contributions to the encyclopedia. If you would like assistance or have questions that you would like answered, just reply here; I'll have it tagged so I can see if and when you reply.

Cheers! --Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 18:22, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Lunasblade for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 20:07, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a soapbox, but an encyclopaedia. Until I have an assurance that you will cease edit warring and using sockpuppets to push your personal agenda against Yahoo! Answers you will remain blocked from editing Wikipedia. There's nothing wrong with posting criticism on Wikipedia, but you must comply with our Wikipedia:Neutral point of view policy at all times by citing 3rd party reliable sources AND NOT forum posts. --  Netsnipe  ►  14:27, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
