Re: Paul Fusco
[edit]Hello – thanks for the message, and welcome!
The message on Talk:Paul Fusco isn't sufficient on its own. Anyone can claim to be you, so your copyright has to be verified by the Wikimedia Foundation, and you have to irrevocably license your work under the GFDL.
To begin the process, send an e-mail, ideally from an address associated with the original publication, to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org permitting re-use under the GFDL.
You can use the text below as a template, if you wish; modify the parts in bold italics to your situation. If you don't use this text, be sure each of the points below are addressed in your message.
I hereby assert that I am the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of work [ insert link to online biography pages here ].
I agree to publish that work under the GNU Free Documentation License.
I acknowledge that I grant anyone the right to use the work in a commercial product and to modify it according to their needs, provided that they abide by the terms of the license.
I am aware that I always retain copyright of my work, and retain the right to be attributed in accordance with the GFDL. Modifications others make to the work will not be attributed to me.
I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement, and that the content may or may not be kept permanently on a Wikimedia project.

You said on my talk page that you'd like your article to appear here, and that's not what's going to happen if you begin this procedure. If this content is added to Paul Fusco, any editor will be allowed to remove, modify, or add to any or all of it in accordance with our policies. Further, Wikipedia policy only controls Wikipedia editors, not individuals and companies outside our sphere of influence. Anyone will be able to take and use any or all of it in any manner they wish in accordance with the GFDL, without your permission and without any notice to you. To avoid misunderstandings, please be certain you understand the text of the GFDL and what it means to donate content to Wikipedia before you take these steps. Feel free to ask questions in your email to the Foundation.
Thanks again for the message. I hope you understand the necessity for evidence and this verification procedure. It's like a bank teller who asks for identification when you write or cash a check. The first time you are asked to prove your identity it bugs you a bit, but after you reflect, it makes sense. Let me know if you have further questions, and again, welcome to Wikipedia! - KrakatoaKatie 09:01, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of ALF on TV
[edit]I have nominated ALF on TV, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ALF on TV. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. mhking (talk) 19:48, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
You might consider placing a copy of your article in a workspace at List of countries and TV stations transmitting ALF with a section on "Present" and another on "Past" as you add the required sourcins. MichaelQSchmidt (talk) 22:11, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- If it survives the AfD or is brought back later, be sure to use the title "List of countries and TV stations transmitting ALF" as above to show it is a list article per WP:STAND and guideline supported WP:Spinoff from an overburdened parent. MichaelQSchmidt (talk) 23:17, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ok thanks i will - i guess now is too late to change the original title to that while its being discussed but the version i am working on in sandbox with past/present i have done so. Thanks loads for all the great advice. Lukerobbins (talk) 00:28, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Alfcartoonpromo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Alfcartoonpromo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 17:28, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Newsbunny.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Newsbunny.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
