Speedy deletion of ESPE

[edit]

A tag has been placed on ESPE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Scjessey (talk) 20:45, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, ESPE, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.redandinadelaseda.org/index2.php?ac=enlaces. As a copyright violation, ESPE appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. ESPE has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:ESPE and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:ESPE with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:ESPE.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Cunard (talk) 21:37, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mayra Samaniego requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 06:08, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Mayra Samaniego

[edit]

Hello, Lukaswarce. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Mayra Samaniego".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 05:17, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

Thanks for uploading File:Dr. Mayra Samaniego presenting at IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Computing in Honolulu Hawaii 2017.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Nomination of Mayra Samaniego for deletion

[edit]
Hello Lukas, I was unable to find significant independent coverage of Samaniego and was also unable to see that she meets our notability guidelines for academics. Academics are usually not notable before they've received professorship. I've therefore began a discussion regarding whether the article is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mayra Samaniego until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Please also see our guidelines for editors with a conflict of interest.

Recruiting

[edit]

Hi, recruiting friends to a deletion discussion will not result in the outcome you're hoping for. These discussions are not a vote, instead they are a discussion about whether the article fulfills Wikipedia's guidelines, which in this case are the notability guidelines regarding academics and the general notability guidelines. – Thjarkur (talk) 21:19, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lukaswarce, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Request

[edit]

The present is to kindly ask you to remove my user from wikipedia or unblock me to delete it myself. As my user is blocked I cannot delete it. It is my right to ask that my user is removed from wikipedia. I am not related to the comments against my username. For that reason, I have decided not to continue contributing to wikipedia. This is indexing in Google and I do not want it to continue happening. @Amkgp: @TheSandDoctor: — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lukaswarce (talkcontribs) 20:46, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have to sign your posts for pings to work. Google should not be indexing the SPI page but is for some reason doing it, I've made a request at the Search Console that it be removed, should disappear in a day. – Thjarkur (talk) 18:53, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your help and time. Also, I wanted to kindly ask your help to unblock my user so I can remove my account. For now I do not want to be related to wikipedia. Thanks in advance for your time and help. Lukaswarce 10:29, 10 August 2020 (UTC) @Thjarkur:[reply]

It's not possible to delete an account here on Wikipedia, the only thing one can do is to ask someone to rename one's account to something else (usually only done for unblocked users). I see you weren't given instructions for how to request an unblock, but in case you do want to return later you can see Wikipedia:Appealing a block, you'd write "{{unblock|reason=Your reason here}}" here below after giving assurance that whatever thing leading to the block won't repeat itself. – Thjarkur (talk) 11:36, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Dr. Mayra Samaniego presenting at IEEE Cybermatics Conference in Chengdu China 2016.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dr. Mayra Samaniego presenting at IEEE Cybermatics Conference in Chengdu China 2016.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 01:33, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
