Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, LuisaBuickEmployee, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:02, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am here to edit articles, yes I'm here just to edit General Motors articles, but I am an employee of them. I will edit constructively. This is paid editing, by the way. I did edit constructively, created Heidi Shierholz. --LuisaBuickEmployee (talk) 17:01, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Edits like this are absolutely, totally, 100% unacceptable on Wikipedia. We are not here to let you boost your SEO profile, and we are not obligated to allow you to keep editing if you think that kind of thing is ok. Disclosure is only the first step; the one after that is not abusing your editing privileges to unduly promote your employer at the encyclopedia's expense. Let us know what you've gotten to that one.A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 17:17, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have three concerns with your editing, first posting requests for surveys is seen as WP:SPAM, second as an editor with a clear WP:COI it is very strongly suggested you use the "edit requested" template on the talk page instead of directly editing articles, finally the article "Heidi Shierholz" was not cited and including "?" in the body of an article is inappropriate. I have checked the edits made here by "Luisa" and they come across as a resounding hoax to me. The future product launches surrounding are simply implausible. OSX (talkcontributions) 00:40, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure about implausible, but I picked one at random and after searching for information about the Brasil Chevrolet Enclave and was completely unable to find ANYTHING about it. I applaud the apparent effort from GM to provide information about their company but I have found the independent site GMAuthority to be sufficient for now. There are also sites like GM Media that have announcements directly from GM. If GM really wants to pay someone to be active contributor to Wikipedia, they need to make an effort on training and education about Wikipedia first. The other user I have seen, originally named User:GMcommunications and renamed to User:Pete at GM has seemed to be quite a bit more knowledgeable about Wikipedia but also needs some guidance. BTW, I do support this block because of blatant edits like this page replace. Nyth83 (talk) 16:28, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Heidi Shierholz has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. SEO editing is by definition editing, not to improve the encyclopedia, but to improve search engine results. Thus, it is a species of vandalism, and shall be treated as such. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:43, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
