Re: protection of RBD discography

Well, I looked at that IP's contributions, and I don't think they are blockable. It seems to me that you disagree with that editor about the colour of some tables. This means that you both need to stop reverting, and start talking it out, preferably on the article's talk page. There is no fixed need to have tables in one particular colour, after all. An editorial disagreement that cannot be resolved in a restrained manner will result in full protection so that no-one can edit it at all. So on that part of things, I think perhaps you also need to take a look at whether straight-off blanket reverting (such as http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=RBD_discography&diff=prev&oldid=134330954) is the most constructive approach.

On the fake peak positions and exaggerated sales, that's actual vandalism, and if persistent would justify blocking that IP (which can be done easily, yes). Can you show me a few diffs of such intended vandalism, since I'm not able to tell for myself whether a particular number is right or wrong? Also, I'm wondering if there is some dispute over the facts, whether the IP is being deliberately malicious or is simply ill-informed. Many thanks, Splash - tk 19:59, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Colours and capitals is not grounds for any level of protection. The anon does not get a harder time of life just for not logging in, remember. You need to attempt to work this out by talking about it on the talk page which, throughout all this, has remained a red link. Neither of you are going about this the right way. Pokémon First Movie soundtrack chart performance

He Luigi-ish!

- Face 18:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Black Hole.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Black Hole.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:07, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Song samples of RBD

Greetings. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia, and for uploading song-samples of RBD music. However I'm concerned that having so many samples of music from a single group might violate criterion #3 of our non-free content criteria. I have listed these at Wikipedia:Images_and_media_for_deletion/2007_June_19#Various_.5B.5BRBD.5D.5D_song_samples, to be considered for deletion. Nothing personal. – Quadell (talk) (random) 12:54, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

I have removed the speedy deletion tag that you placed on this article, because non-notability is not one of the criteria for speedy deletion. Criterion A7 discusses articles that don't make an assertion of notability, but it typically only applies to biographical articles, and being a song by a popular group could be regarded as an assertion of notability. My recommedation, if you still believe it should be deleted, is to nominate it for deletion at articles for deletion, where the community can decide through discussion if it is notable enough for an article. Image:Nâdiya-Signesclip2.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Nâdiya-Signesclip2.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 20:47, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:EverythingBurns.JPG

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:EverythingBurns.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 21:29, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:Exception.jpg

I have tagged Image:Exception.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Rettetast 21:30, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

You recently have contributed to article talk page regarding Album Sales. In an attempt to resolve this conflict, we have opened up a simple place to help sort this out at: Talk:Britney Spears discography#Album_Sales. This is an attempt to find a consensus regarding reliable and accurate sources. Currently only two people have contributed to this list, and I would hate for you to miss out on chipping in your two cents. The rules are simple.... Simply enter in the source you consider a reliable source of figures for the album sales. The other fine print is on the talk page. With your help, I hope we can end this debate -- if only for a short while. :) Thanks again, Tiggerjay 00:50, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
