- I am seeing that the amount of those SPIs are on increase nowadays where you find lack of any policy based results. Clerks usually turn the sock puppetry case into meat puppetry after taking the words of suspect and send them a warning which reads more like a "friendly reminder". Or they misrepresent those diffs that were presented as evidence and claim the results to be unrelated or inconclusive. OccultZone (Talk • Contributions • Log) 09:12, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Reversion of my edit to Jean-Louis Baugnies
I appreciate your "Edit summary" on this edit pointing to AWB rule #4, and must confess that I stepped onto the wrong side of that particular rule in this case. However, I fail to understand why you would want to change it back to a date "1957-6-17" which clearly follows a format listed in MOS:BADDATEFORMAT, especially in an article which is clearly headed {{Use dmy dates|date=April 2015}}. Thanks for all the good work you do on Wikipedia. — Hebrides (talk) 19:32, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Okay I noticed something odd, on a bunch of winners in this cat it is now listed as a redirect. For example see here: William Cameron Menzies. Matter of fact-it appears as a redirect on everyones page except for the winners of Grand Budapest and Beverley Dunn (set decorator), which might be due to the fact the category had a name change! Joanne Woollard
Trying to find something but no luck so far-it would of been after the Oscars I am sure given the fact that she just nominated for Gravity and they didn't show her. Susanne Lingheim
Okay so I'm googling some of these odd ones and I found Susanne Lingheim listed on Google as being born in 1954 on the side bar linked to Wikipedia but of course she is just listed as possibly living on Wikipedia. (dang if that year of birth is true-she was really young when she was nominated!) But yeah not sure what to say. Wgolf (talk) 19:03, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- There are a few people listed as possibly living who were nominated in the 1950s as well as this one set decorator who was nominated for The Mission who graduated from HS in the 1920s that I think might be time to move to year of death missing. (The set decorator of the Mission I am pretty sure is long dead and that was probably one of his last films-if he was alive we would know about it given when he was in high school) Wgolf (talk) 19:31, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- oops Jack Stephens (set decorator) was in grammar (aka elementary school) in the late 20s. Okay so he be at the youngest very late 90s. Maybe given him another year or so-though unlikely. Wgolf (talk) 19:33, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Brian Lyn
Hello Lugnuts,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Brian Lyn for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Rhumidian (talk) 19:16, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
Removal of {{ref improve}} tag
You reverted my edit adding a {{ref improve}} tag to an article with one sole reference, citing "that is the MOS". You are going to have to give a better explanation than that. Lachlan Foley (talk) 06:47, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- Your drive-by tagging adds NOTHING. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:51, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- That is not a valid answer. If you cannot actually be specific about what exactly it supposedly states in the MoS about tagging an article with one reference with {{ref improve}}, it will be re-added and your revert may be reported. Lachlan Foley (talk) 06:54, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- It is a valid answer. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:03, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
- It is not a valid answer to the question proposed to you, Wikipedia rebel. Also, it may not have occurred to you, but not everyone has the time to manually add appropriate references to every single article that needs them, and this template is appropriate to warn users that the article is lacking references. Sorry mate for the revisions, but my intention was to keep the list there till another fellow provides a reference. Can't wait for it to start! Stage 5 will be absolutely brutal! Who do you reckon will win the Prologue? It is short and twisty, so I have to go for my favorite cyclist Peter Sagan. He'll never survive stage 5 though Mattsnow81 (Talk) 11:27, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- I thought you were a huge Cancellara fan :) Yes, MTN Qhubeka have a strong lead out, but can't seem to hit the mark this year. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 13:01, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- That was a great finish to the Dauphiné, but I'm kinda glad it's over since there was only 15 km of the Tour de Suisse on the streaming. I like to write it as I watch lol. I had to read the stage instead. Froome is impressive isn't he? I like his character. Pretty happy for him. There will one hell of a showdown in the Tour with Contador. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:49, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
- The stage was Saganated with lots of tactics and brute force in the end! Love it! Mattsnow81 (Talk) 21:04, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- The article is starting to get lots of views, it's cool :) [3] Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:28, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hahaha, I was a huge WWF fan in my teens. I don't think they show it anymore on cable in Canada though. I just saw your last 100 last edits you are a crazy creation machine!! Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:52, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- Today' stage is awfully boring compared to yesterday's. I just don't know what to write lol. The weather?? Counting people at the side of the road? People are turning pedals? I'll manage Mattsnow81 (Talk) 15:42, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the nice comments, means a lot! I've added a bit to the intro, but as you said, there will be a lot more to add there when the race is over. Nice Sagan performance so far. I think Cancellara is saving energy for the TT on stage 9, we don't see him at all. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 13:03, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

AFD question
Could you tell me how to apply the AFD tag properly to the pages I nominated for deletion? Johnsmith2116 (talk) 16:15, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Johnsmith2116 (talk) 16:30, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

I am finding some date of deaths on the Academy page however this is taking a while
It seems that using a old search there I have found some deaths but it is taking a while due to the fact you can't search on it manually. But yeah I am getting some. Wgolf (talk) 23:44, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
57th Academy Awards-2 names only listed on art direction there but nowhere else
Okay so I did delete a couple other odd ones-but I found 2 that might be possible they were nominated-Les Bloom and Speed Hopkins, yet can't find any proof on the main page oddly. Wgolf (talk) 01:18, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
Per Holknekt
Please take a look at the article about Per Holknekt that I have created. Any help is appreciated :) Thanks.--BabbaQ (talk) 19:51, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
AFD follow up question
Hello, I was wondering, if an editor has decided that they want to delete a Wikipedia Articles for Deletion page they have created, do you know how they would go about doing that? Johnsmith2116 (talk) 16:39, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. Johnsmith2116 (talk) 22:07, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
Some of the Oscar nominees only seem to link to the IMDB Oscar nom pages
Granted some are easy to change-while others though have tons of noms which seems like some try to take a quick route to do. Like here is a older one Perry Ferguson, while there are others like Ben Grossmann who go to the main page of the Oscars site. Yeah it is odd and not sure what to say. Wgolf (talk) 17:49, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, Ferguson was in a wave of articles created some 7 years ago when I was new(ish) here and wasn't aware of not citing IMDB. The official Oscar page will back it up though. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 17:50, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
- Its like how every so often I find these old articles that are like "the guy was born in 1910 but has no date of death so he is defiantly living!" The bigger problem though are the living ones as now people are more quick to put the deletion tag up so those would probably be the ones to find the refs for first. Wgolf (talk) 17:52, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
If you're ever interested in voting, nomination is on June 21st :) Mattsnow81 (Talk) 19:49, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's fun to witness the drama on the page lol. Lots of positive feedback, it bodes pretty well for a GA try, I agree maybe the notability is not enough for ITN. Zwerg Nase told me he would review it for GA as soon as 1st July, as they hold some kind of judging contest. It's cool, I won't have to wait :) Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:54, 24 June 2015 (UTC) P.-S.: Congrats on your first on my new talk page Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:15, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- LOL that was a lucky one :) Thanks for your support. I think it helped that there are not much articles on nomination. Can't wait for the Tour de France to start, there is a lull in the action. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 14:19, 26 June 2015 (UTC) PS: Can't wait for Zwerg Nase to review it for GA, I really wonder if it'll pass easy or not. *drumroll* What are you up to? Creating articles again? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 14:34, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
I've added WP:OR tag, could you take a look at that.--Vin09 (talk) 09:44, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yep, looks a lot of WP:OR in the article - thanks for the heads up. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:02, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
Template:Aviation lists cleanup
I believe this task is completed, as the template has been removed from all articles that do not appear on it except for some that appear through transclusion in other templates. I note, however, that Template:Aviation lists is also linked in a large number of category pages. Should it also be removed from these? Cheers! bd2412 T 02:41, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
ProCyclingStats
This site is a lot more comprehensive than Cyclingarchives, which we have a template for. Just take a look, it is very detailed. Would you happen to know someone who is capable of making such a template to put in riders' external links section? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 16:38, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
- Holy crap I didn't even know! Good thing Mattsnow81 (Talk) 16:50, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Well, every time I edit a rider's article, I'll add it while I'm at it Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:21, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, I'm sure it's alright. I added it to a couple articles already. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:33, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
- Did you see Cavendish in the UK championships? First time I see him outside the bunch like that. It'll be very hard for Sagan to get the greeen jersey I reckon. Cav will win all the flat stages IMO. Mattsnow81 (Talk) 18:30, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
- Still added a bit to riders' articles, PCS template included! What is this arbitration thing below? So much drama and wasted time. I hope you're not in trouble? Are you an admin? Mattsnow81 (Talk) 17:48, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Ways to improve Jiří Hrneček
Hi, I'm Human3015. Lugnuts, thanks for creating Jiří Hrneček!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This article needs more references to make it notable enough.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Human3015 knock knock • 20:15, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
