Welcome!

Hello LuckyAllen, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Feel free to drop me a question on my talk page.

I'm currently searching for wiki-adoptees, if you want to be wiki-adopted by me, drop a line on my talk page. You don't know what wiki-adoption is? No problem, here is the answer!

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If another Wikipedian criticizes what you have done check what Wikipedia is not to avoid this happening again/ever. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)

Fix spelling and grammar
None

Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.

Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.

Need a tip?

Search & replace in thousands of articles with AWB

Do you need to correct a spelling error on a large number of pages?

Are there terms you need to linkify across an entire subject?

Do you need to replace a category tag on 500 articles?

AutoWikiBrowser (AWB) can do that and more. It is a free-licensed, semi-automatic editor created and maintained by Wikipedians, available to editors who have made at least 500 responsible edits in the main namespace. AWB includes a powerful list maker (up to 25,000 articles), to help you gather the titles of the articles you wish to process. An extended AWB Listmaker is available as a plug-in. AWB will even do regex (regular expression) find/replace.

Have a fun time editing!

An Automated Message from HagermanBot

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 20:26, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please lighten up on Irishguy

[edit]

Hi. I saw your exchange with Irishguy at User talk:Irishguy. He's just doing his job in accordance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you don't like them, please don't take it out on him.[1][2]

As for all those other links that haven't been deleted that are similar to yours, please, by all means delete them if they don't meet the requirements of our External Links, Reliable Sources and/or Conflict of Interest rules. Wikipedia has over 3 million external links and just several dozen volunteers regularly policing them for inappropriate links -- we're happy to take all the help we can get.

Thanks, --A. B. (talk) 21:39, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
