Richard Stuart Stetelman was born July 16, 1954 in Hattiesburg, Ms at Forrest General Hospital. He changed his name to pseudonym Rick London when he became involved in writing and cartooning. He launched Londons Times Cartoons in 1997 from an abandoned S. Mississippi warehouse rented him cheaply by two members of his tiny rural Unitarian Universalist Church, Bob and Barbara McDonald. Though London was born and raised Jewish, and had his bar mitzvah at B'nai Israel Congegation, he later attended Our Home UU Church in Moselle, Ms as there were no synagogues within 30 miles of his rural home. He currently lives in Hot Springs, Ar and enjoys nature and hiking.
