Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Gil Scott-Heron, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Gil Scott-Heron. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Dan56 (talk) 01:57, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your helpful contribution

Please excuse some editors, who have either not yet read or have forgotten that the founder of Wikipedia himself wrote an article called "ignore all rules." It can sometimes be useful to check an editor's talk page, where one can sometimes put an editor's actions in a context.

Thank you for supplying the names of survivors, which were difficult to find without having the names. Once I had a clue where to look for references, the task was pretty straight forward. Other editors could have done it, but prefer to delete unnecessarily (one can first add a tag saying "citation needed") and then, adding insult to injury, leave notes around that are more apt to offend than help. This is runs counter to Wikipedia's goal of attracting and retaining new editors. Marrante (talk) 18:00, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
