User talk:Lovewikiii
Im new to Wikipedia, yet use it all the time to search out information on plenty of things. I decided to join because I was looking at an article about my favorite band, and there was much information lacking in the article. Now I have joined, cleared up the article, and im striving to help the Wikipedia Community clean up more articles, and make articles as accurate as possible. I do not have a sense as to how to clearly use this, saw the adoption program, and now I am 'up for adoption'.
Adoption
[edit]Hi Lovewikiii! My name is Jamie, and I'm interested in adopting you. I frequently edit articles about musicians/bands (typically Christian music), a topic which you also seem to edit on. If you'd ever like to talk to me, leave me a new message on my talk page. Have a nice day! --JamieS93 18:19, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Getting started with adoption
[edit]Hi Taylor, great to hear back from you! I'd love to help you find your way around Wikipedia.
The way to set up adoption is to add two templates to your userpage and mine, indicating that you've been adopted. I'll take care of that in a moment.
Do you have any questions in mind as we're starting out here? By the way, don't forget to sign your talk page messages. To do that, add 4 tildes (~~~~) at the end of your message, like this: ~~~~. This adds your username and time-stamp to your posts on talk pages, as you can see here → JamieS93 15:54, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Max & Emme Lopez
[edit]A tag has been placed on Max & Emme Lopez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Thingg⊕⊗ 20:32, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi there :)
[edit]Hey Lovewikiii, glad to hear back from you! Recently, I was actually going to leave a note on your talk page here, but I guess that thought kind of got lost amongst other things. :) As for the templates, I've already added them to both of our userpages a little while ago, as can be seen in these two diffs. I just removed the {{adoptoffer}} template from this talk page today – I had forgotten to do so up until now. That's the template that's only used when a user hasn't yet been adopted, but someone has offered to adopt, which we don't need anymore.
I'm glad that you'll be able to be on Wikipedia more this summer! :) Cheers, Jamie☆S93 13:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
