Your GA nomination of K2-155d

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article K2-155d you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Katolophyromai -- Katolophyromai (talk) 00:02, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Katolophyromai, please take note of my post below about copyright violations while reviewing the article. SarahSV (talk) 00:15, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Sarah: My friend Katolophyromai told me at the article page. --LovelyGirl7 talk 15:34, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please go back through your articles and remove, or significantly reword, any contributions where you've copied word-for-word, or nearly word-for-word, from the source. Or, if appropriate, add quotation marks and in-text attribution (e.g. according to X; see WP:INTEXT). If that means the whole article has to be reduced to a stub, then that's what you must do.
Also, please read Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources and Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Wikipedia articles must be written in our own words. It isn't acceptable simply to copy, or slightly tweak, what sources have written. SarahSV (talk) 23:43, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism

[edit]

Hi LovelyGirl7, I warned you on April 17 that text should not be copied word-for-word from sources, yet I see you did it again (extensively) on Nova Carinae 2018 on 23 April. This is both plagiarism and copyright infringement, and by doing the latter you're violating the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use. If it happens again, you're likely to be blocked without further warning. Please read Wikipedia:Plagiarism and Wikipedia:Copyright violations carefully.

Sources must be summarized in your own words. If you do use a source's words, you must name your source in the text, and it's often safest to add quotation marks too (e.g. Historian Susan Smith wrote that "x, y and z"). See WP:INTEXT for more information about this. It might help to read the articles Direct speech and Indirect speech.

If you've added text copied from sources to other articles, please go back and remove it, or rewrite it, now. SarahSV (talk) 00:12, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you're continuing to add text copied from sources, with small tweaks:

  • Source: "WASP-107b lies about eight times closer to its star than Mercury does to the sun, completing one orbit every 5.7 Earth days. At a sweltering 932 degrees Fahrenheit (500 degrees Celsius), this planet's atmosphere is one of the hottest among any known exoplanet."
  • Your edit: "It lies around eight times near its star than Mercury does to the sun, and orbits the Earth every 5.7 days.[4] With the planets temperature of 932 degrees Fahrenheit and 500 degrees Celsius, its atmosphere makes it one of the hottest known exoplanets.[4]"

SarahSV (talk) 02:45, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The problem seems to be that you are going sentence-by-sentence through the sources, slightly changing each sentence before adding it to the article, and sometimes not changing it at all. That's not how we're supposed to write articles. We're meant to read the sources, then sum up our own understanding of them. This is very difficult, if not impossible, to do if the topic is something we don't understand well.

Please don't make any further edits that aren't about tidying up any previous copyright violations that you added. Otherwise your account really is likely to be blocked indefinitely. SarahSV (talk) 03:08, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Sarah: I just replied to you on Talk:K2-155d/GA1. --LovelyGirl7 talk 12:16, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrating your GA!

[edit]
I just checked back, and I see that you succeeded in getting David Meade to Good Article status - well done! It's a long process, and you deserve a pat on the back for this achievement. I wanted to offer a glass of champagne, but Wikipedia doesn't have that so I can only offer a cup of tea instead ... please know it comes with a full measure of my congratulations. Gronk Oz (talk) 10:31, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I’m proud of it too and I’m glad your my @best friend: here. I’m glad I successfully did it. I’m hoping one day to get it to FA as well, but I’ve been advised not to do it now, considering that my first try didn’t pass. I will one day do it for a second try though. I might in return for your tea give you beer, tea, or even a picture of your favorite exoplanet or your favorite planet in the Solar System outside of Earth. Thank you for caring about me and I will always leave messages on your talk page if I need or want anything . —LovelyGirl7 talk 14:54, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice - good hand/bad hand accounts

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
  • Confirmed bad hand accounts include User:166qq and User:AntiJustinTrudeau. Normally I would only block a master account for a couple of weeks, but your actions are so over the line with regards to community expectations that an indefinite block is more appropriate. You didn't get caught up in the moment, you set out specifically to deceive Wikipedia editors. Also, a review of your earliest edits makes it appear very likely this was not your first account.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:24, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Ponyo: seeing this block, I know understand why I was blocked. I must admit I’ve betrayed the project and my best friends here (Katolophyromai and Gronk Oz) by creating a few bad hand accounts. I do want to return sooner than expected, either late August or any day before the day Trump has his summit with Kim, because I don’t have any interest in leaving the project at all, and I have confident I will return again. I will promise you and Wikipedia this, I won’t create anymore accounts and I will only edit using this one. I don’t like indefinite blocks at all, and I understand the block. Katolophyromai even gave me advice and I love that advice. I do want to return earlier than expected, and as I’ve said, I am interested in returning before August or any day before the Trump-Kim summit (when it’s announced), because honestly I believe I love this place and I have no interest in leaving. So like either around late May, early June, or August I hope to return. I’m very sorry for deceiving and betraying people I know here, especially the ones I love the most. I will let you know if I would like to return by pinging you. LovelyGirl7 talk 04:44, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Usernamekiran: Don’t know and shouldn’t have happened. Terrible decision by me. —LovelyGirl7 talk 11:19, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ponyo: I sent you an email. If you would like to respond feel free to do so. LovelyGirl7 talk 19:27, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use this talk page or the email function to suggest edits. If you have any hope of being unblocked you need to follow the standard offer and stay away from Wikipedia for at least 6 months.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:05, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I sure will @Ponyo:. I just placed a WikiBreak template on the top of my talk page and I will promise this: I will not sock for the next 6 months and I'm hopeful that I return in October this year and edit constructively again. With that said, take care. --LovelyGirl7 talk 20:28, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
...and yet you're still emailing suggestions for ITN candidates. Since I don't think you can help yourself, I've removed email access from your account.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:01, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of K2-155d

[edit]

The article K2-155d you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:K2-155d for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. One-time-only free advice

[edit]

Hello. I suspect you are probably reading this. Since you have made some good contributions here and I suspect your whole "good hand"/"bad hand" routine was an immature stunt to attract attention, I am offering you this one-time-only advice on what to do if you decide you want to come back:

  1. DO NOT CREATE ANY NEW ACCOUNTS. This is a huge mistake that many people make when they are blocked. If you create a new account, we will find out about it eventually and it will ruin your chances of ever being unblocked.
  2. If you have any existing accounts that have not been blocked, stop using them immediately.
  3. Wait a really long time. (I would say at least a year, maybe longer.) Do not attempt to edit Wikipedia at all during this time. The purpose of this is to give you a chance to (hopefully) mature and realize the error of your ways.
  4. Request to be unblocked on this account, here on your talk page. (I am assuming this is your main account, since, of the known ones, it is the one with the most edits.) I believe you can still edit this page; usually the user talk page is the only page blocked accounts are allowed to edit. If you wish to have a new username, you may request a fresh start.
  5. Never engage in any form of sockpuppetry ever again. I am sure it may be fun fooling people into thinking you are different person, but it is dishonest and destructive to the encyclopedia. People think they can get away with it, but they are always wrong. They always get caught eventually.
  6. Do not engage in any kind of disruptive editing. If you do engage in it, you will be blocked again in a heartbeat. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place for trolling people and fooling around. If trolling everyone is the kind of thing you are into, Reddit or the YouTube comments section is probably a more suitable venue for that activity, but, considering the massive amount of work you have put into some of your articles here, I do not think trolling people is really what you came here for.

This is not a threat; this is intended purely as advice. I am still trying to be friendly, even though you have broken policy and betrayed the trust of everyone here, including me. I honestly kind of hope you do decide to come back some day in the distant future, once you have learned from your mistakes. For now, though, go enjoy something off Wikipedia for a while. Goodbye. --Katolophyromai (talk) 01:21, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and one last thing: Try not to be hard on yourself over this. Judging from how you made your sockpuppet at ANI call you out on every tiny little mistake you have made during your entire time here, I am guessing you have been taking other editors' criticisms rather harshly. Do not take it that way; as rude as some editors can be at times, they all mean well. Also, know that, prior to this whole sockpuppetry thing, for all your faults, I thought you were a very productive editor and a valuable asset to the encyclopedia. Your career in sockpuppetry is just one rash decision; do not let it ruin your whole life or anything like that. --Katolophyromai (talk) 03:32, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Katolophyromai: I want to come back earlier than expected, I say about before August or before Trump has his summit with Kim (when the date for that is announced). I might even come back late May or early June (which is when the event would happen). I will not create any socks again. Trust me. I didn’t came here to troll around either, because I know I’m smarter than this. While I’m gone, I can edit Conservapedia (I’m a conservative btw) but under a different username. I may edit under my character name since I’m just a fictional anime person who lives in a fictional place, and the leader and princess of the Cities: Skylines Island, even the capital, and yes my statement may sound funny and cool. What do you say about editing the place as well? I can create an article about the Krassensteins (but this time better) and we both can work on it. Same thing with other Twitter liberals, we will see. While I’m blocked here, I might email you through Special:EmailUser and I will ping you if I email you or need anything. —LovelyGirl7 talk 04:29, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I do also have another thing for you @Katolophyromai:. Please monitor me very carefully while I’m gone. Your my second bestie after User:Gronk Oz. Regarding that account, he/she was attacking me as a ponzi scammer, called me a war criminal and warmonger, called me a dictator and even called me a bigot. That bigot comment came when I made mistakes on ponzi boy Ed. I do despite him and his brother after hearing about their nonsense garbage even though I don’t have Twitter, especially with the fact that they always stalk Trump on Twitter and their so obsessed with him all the time. They say “BOOM” or “BREAKING” and “Retweet” on their tweets and that’s one thing I found out about them. More things I’ve found about them are here: [1]. Back to my future as a Wikipedian, as I’ve said, I want to return. I do hope you can answer emails I send you (if I do) and I will ping you if I do email you. Once my best friend, your always my best friend, and same goes for User:Gronk Oz. Both of you are my best friends forever . I’m looking forward to returning again and I will not create anymore socks again. Trust me. —LovelyGirl7 talk 04:29, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I would highly caution against any attempts to return within the next year. You clearly need lots of time to reflect on your decisions. --Katolophyromai (talk) 10:00, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I will, trust me. I can reflect over my decisions by either late May or early June or by August. Once I do reflect over what I did, I would like to return by then. —LovelyGirl7 talk 11:50, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I’ve mentioned a few things where Ponyo gave me that block message. LovelyGirl7 talk 11:52, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Given your obsession (and likely connection) with Krassenstein, I've indef salted the page. OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Katolophyromai: also please while I'm gone do updates on David Meade (author), like if he makes a new prediction about the end-of-the-world. I hope that when I come back in October (hopefully) to see you again . I also sent User:Gronk Oz one as well. --LovelyGirl7 talk 20:28, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Let me re-inforce Katolophyromai's advice. Go away for a while, a LONG while. What you did (sockpuppetry, and worse, on an admin page) was not a pecadillo; it's one of the few ways to a complete lifetime never-to-be-lifted ban. There are people who've been banned as sock puppets, and every time they come back either through an IP or a new account, they are tracked down, their new IP address blocked and all their edits reverted, no matter how good their new behaviour was or how good their edits were. You're on the hairy edge of getting onto that list. Go away, leave Wikipedia alone - don't even THINK of trying to ask for re-instatement this summer, it will just remind the admins to watch out for you. Trump's summit with Kim will be over long before a reinstatement for you would be considered.
I will also comment that you're also risking access to your talk page - the admins can lock you out of editing your own talk page if they think you are considering getting around a ban. So, I would recommend logging off Wikipedia and don't even think about logging back in this year. Each time you ask and are denied, you are likely to effectively re-set the clock, so don't try to push for an early reinstatement. Tarl N. (discuss) 21:35, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ohnoitsjamie: I’m not connected to the Krassensteins but I’ve been interested in them. LovelyGirl7 talk 16:33, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Note to other editors:

Current events headlines

[edit]

I’m blocked, however, there are several things I believe should be added at Portal:Current events/2018 May 8:

  1. Under where it says “Politics and elections”, a statement about Mike Pence’s brother Greg Pence winning the primary elections for Indiana. Links here: (Fox40) or (The Hayride)
  2. Maybe “;Sports” can be added to the page as well with something like this added: “Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul reaches his first Western Conference Finals with a game 5 win over the Utah Jazz. Also with “*2018 NBA Playoffs” as the header as well. Link: (USA Today)
Due to your block, you are unable to make these edits and should not be requesting edits be done on your half. Please do not make any more requests like this. Ponyo made it clear above your deception of the community was not appropriate (and is never appropriate). I would suggest you reflect on that. -- Dane talk 04:18, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Dane: I will reflect on this. I do find those interesting however. And I know why I was blocked. I’m very sorry for this deception. —LovelyGirl7 talk 04:31, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you do get unblocked at some point, I would strongly recommend that you avoid all articles relating to American politics like the plague. These articles are always extremely controversial and you have frequently shown an inability to remain completely neutral while writing about them. I personally avoid political articles myself and I think there really only a handful of editors who are levelheaded enough to write them neutrally. --Katolophyromai (talk) 11:07, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Katolophyromai: You might be right. American politics are controversial, especially with some people who support Trump and some people who are against him that both can’t get along with each other. That’s why I might edit Conservapedia (since it’s a conservatives encyclopedia and that’s how I view politics) but do you believe it’s a good idea for me to do so? If I do edit, I’ll edit under a different username and I might even let you know how I think about the place. When I do get unblocked, I will avoid adding American politics into Portal:Current events and I will avoid editing their articles, which I did under this account. —LovelyGirl7 talk 11:43, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
