WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

[edit]

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 23:05, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reaction time

[edit]

I do new pages patrol, not only to delete the crap, but to fix what needs to be fixed. Cheers, YechielMan 03:18, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. Actually, I didn't add the unreferenced and wikify tags; a bot did that a couple of edits prior to mine (view the history). The user Aliceclone12 was spamming various Alice Cooper pages with plagiarized information off sickthings.co.uk and spamming his own bootleg video business which was later wiped from his profile. I guess my course of action was to wipe the page of his unformatted and unsourced stuff until I could actually get the time to rewrite the article myself. Granted, it's hard to find a tangible online source about this video (I own the actual VHS, but I don't think that cuts it here :P). Either way, that's my explanation; hope that clears everything up.  :) Dbm11085 19:12, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Chris. By any chance is it possible to upload that photo of Katell that's in the Darcy Frey NYC Times in 2006? (its particularly fetching). Or indeed any image of Katell? Just wondering? Fergananim 19:57, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Grace National Bank

[edit]

You created an article on Grace National Bank...in it you put:

"Former presidents include Frank Comerford Walker and William Russell Grace."

William Russell Grace died 10 years before the bank was founded, he must have stunk up the board meetings!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.69.139.160 (talk) 01:11, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Lomedae! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 72 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Stuart Tosh - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 17:56, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Number One (1998 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:NFILM. This short film has not been the subject of significant coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:54, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wolfgang Fuchs (musician) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Wolfgang Fuchs (musician), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 16:08, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Lomedae. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Wolfgang Fuchs".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 20:35, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
