Image tagging for Image:Wilson21.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wilson21.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi, how do I provide the copyright, when I go to select the copyright it doesn't let me select the correct options, any help would be gratefully accepted.

This was a non-notable biography as per the criteria set out in WP:BIO. (aeropagitica) 00:38, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't repost it. Doing so is viewed as vandalism and will lead to a loss of your editing privileges. - Lucky 6.9 01:01, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This means a permanent block of a new account. - Lucky 6.9 01:04, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It has become apparent that your account is only being used for vandalism, so it has been blocked indefinitely.

- Lucky 6.9 01:05, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have not been vandalising. Silly Alan is an actual artist, i don't understand why i am being blocked

There is a certain threshhold of notability required in order to warrant an article. He may be an actual artist, but he isn't sufficiently well-known to have an article. Otherwise, this site would be flooded with articles on every garage band on the planet. Since you didn't respond to our pleas not to keep reposting the article, you left us no choice but to block you. You may request an unblock with your promise not to repost the Silly Alan article. - Lucky 6.9 01:13, 18 November 2006 (UTC) - Lucky 6.9 01:13, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I won't post it again, but it wasn't clear on the actual criteria as to why I couldn't post it. I would very much appreciate if I was unblocked. I have been having problems with wikipedia as I am only new to the service and have been trying to figure out the ins and outs of it. So I am sorry if I have caused offence.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Andrewtiernan.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Andrewtiernan.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Quentin X 15:42, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
