Information icon Hello, I'm Md.Farhan Mahmud. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Jan van Essen and Hendrik Vos have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. ≈ Farhan  «Talk» 13:15, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the links I added were links to English translations of primary sources directly related to the topic. These are precisely the kinds of links that are most useful and reliable for historians and information-seekers and that give Wikipedia an advantage over other encyclopedias. If links like these are removed, the value of Wikipedia is diminished, and so too reasons to visit (and donate to) Wikipedia. I know the links were to blog pages, but not all blogs are equal. Most of them simply present the blogger's personal thoughts, ideas, and reflections, but the one I linked to provides translations of historical works. Thank you for reconsidering.
