Lombards

I am going to try to clean up your edits to conform with Wikipedian stylistic conventions without merely reverting them. However, it is important to inform you that you are not following well-thought-out guidelines in your editing. Your edits may be improvements content-wise, but they are detrimental style-wise. I know we got off to a rocky start, but I fear that your don't have (or don't use) the requisite knowledge of Wikipedian form to make maximally useful edits. As it stands, the Lombards article has lost readability and encyclopaedicity, even if it is now more sourced and factual. This tradeoff is not acceptable, both standards (concerning style and content) must be met for this project to work. I am just notifying you, since this is the reason that our original spat began: over reversions I made to stylistically detrimental edits. Srnec 00:48, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

I couldnt respond to your talkpage, so i respond on here. I absolutely understand, what you wrote. That was never the problem if my edits dont meet certain format requiries, than i ask them to be cleaned up accordingly. The problem was that content was being erased without explanation, content i thought was very important for a Lombard article. Should i in future, first post my edits to you, so you can tell me how to correct it or correct it yourself? Before posting it on Wikipedia? Lllo3

It's fine if you just edit it to the article. I will clean up any format issues. The real problem which prompted my reverts some months back was that there was too much to reformt properly. This is why it is often a good idea to make major edits is pieces, so that other edits can easily clean up any stylistic issues without having to go over the whole article. As long as you make edits in installments, I will keep my eye on the Lombards article and clean it up to meet stylistic conventions. I have added the titles in the Refernce section. Why do you actually have such a strong interest in the Lombards? are you from Italy? Or Hungary, Slovenia or Croatia? I found that Hungarians, Slovenians and Croatians also have an interest in this Germanic tribe. Lllo3

I am Canadian. Interestingly, I do have a Croatian background (Srnec). I am interested in the Lombards largely as an outgrowth of an interest in Italian medieval history. I am a bit of an Italophile, but I couldn't identify why exactly. Srnec 05:48, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

I couldnt respond earlier due to alot of work. Well, the Lombards are interesting because they are the survivors of the Germanic migration people and conquerers. I already saw your changes, and they are good. I want to add a section of the Lombards on the Balkans, (noricum, pannonia, byzantium, herules, gepids) all that time. Hope you will help there to.
