Hi! Thank you for your welcome. Could you exp,aim the "bytes" next to my contributions (from the menu item "My Contributions"? Thanks again! Lksedor (talk) 16:34, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, Lksedor! The "bytes" next to the contributions indicate how many bytes worth of data (text) were either added or subtracted as a result of that edit. This can be useful for diagnostic purposes: for example, a large number of bytes deleted may indicate that more text was removed from an article than the editor intended to. —C.Fred (talk) 16:39, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Fred for your explanation! I noticed that any talk comments added a lot of bytes. Is that referencing the bytes added to the talk page, rather than the actual article? Lksedor (talk) 16:43, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. It's bytes added to whatever the page you changed was: article, article talk page, user page, user talk page, sandbox.... —C.Fred (talk) 16:58, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
