Here, the article starts by saying that many people mistake PTSD for a normal response to trauma. However, they do not expand on this. I have highlighted where I suggest could use some editing.

There is a common sense of confusion between the difference of PTSD and a normal response to trauma. If an athlete injures himself or herself in a horrific way, it is normal for them to go through some adversity before overcoming the injury.[3] They may develop small flashbacks, have bad dreams, or feel like they can't get the traumatic experience out of their mind.Italic text[2] [1]There are many therapies which can help treat PTSD, including psychotherapy, art therapy or social engagement etc.[3]

A good sentence that could go here is that, PTSD is commonly associated with soldiers returning from war.This would be fair to say considering they give an example of a normal response to trauma but do not describe examples of PTSD.
