Las Vegas

[edit]

Exactly how does [1] conform with WP:EL as a link adding to the article? Vegaswikian (talk) 17:34, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. It is a non-profit site that is providing important/comprehensive weather information for current residents and potential visitors to LAS VEGAS.

2. In answer to your "conforming" question, I have checked out other external links that have been allowed to remain and have found that they do not "conform" completely. However, as I have stated, they have not been removed. For example while typing this page I have had [2] open and have had to listen to non-stop advertising for RSVP. The link [3] is nothing more than an advertisement for GEOTIMES. Finally, [4] is also one great big ad for the Las Vegas Review Journal's 3 part book.

I UNDERSTAND that this public WIKI and what remains is subject to the editors discretion. However, I DO feel (as do hundreds of other visitors to my site) that my link does provide relative information pertaining to Las Vegas.

Best Regards,

Modifying talk page

[edit]

It is not really helpful to remove selected comments that affect a discussion on your talk page. It removes important context that should be retained. Vegaswikian (talk) 21:39, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Wikian,

If you are referring to the post I removed that I placed, I DO have the right to remove it. In retrospect I didn't feel the response was appropriate in a public forum and therefore decided to delete it. My particular post was removed before there was any response so the context should have been unaffected.

If I removed something else in error I sincerely apologize.
