Howdy, Draft:Luka Turkulov does not meet the notability guidelines put down in Wikipedia:NCYC. Please look at the guidelines so you know what an article needs to be on Wikipedia. In future he may meet these requirements so you could recreate the article then. Cheers Paulpat99 (talk) 19:57, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for good guidelines. I am a sports journalist and have no experience with Wikipedia. This is my first attempt to put on Wiki a talented and successful athlete. I noticed this boy this year and I follow him because until last year I knew him as Judoka, so he is interesting to me.I have read the criteria for cycling. He is National Champion 2022 TT https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/nc-serbia-u23-itt/2022/result . It is not enough? On my opinion Wikipedia:NCYC is cover in this case. .................................................................................. Wikipedia:Notability (sports)

Significant coverage is likely to exist for a male cyclist if he meets:
Won a UCI World Tour;
Won (a stage, or an overall individual classification) a Grand Tour or finished on the podium of a Monument;
Won the UCI World Championships or UCI World Cup;
Won Gold at an international multi-sport event (games) (also includes races like the World University Cycling Championship);
Won a UCI category race (minimum classification 1.1 / 2.1, including Continental and National Championships).

.................................................................................. National road cycling championships

In road racing, winning riders of national championships are crowned as:
Men's Elite Road Race Champion
Men's Elite Time Trial Champion
Women's Road Race Champion
Women's Time Trial Champion
Men's Under-23 Road Race Champion
Men's Under-23 Time Trial Champion Livetrackingsamo (talk) 21:01, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Under-23 is not enough to have an article of their own. As an example as many Under-23 winning cyclists do not achieve elite results. The notability page shows "Significant coverage is likely to exist..." this means there must be interdependent sources not stat websites with news articles written on the person showing they are notable. Also do you know this rider personally if so you need to state you have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and should not write an article on them. I do appreciate the effort you've put into the draft its excellent to see new people contributing, I will cleanup the draft to follow Wikipedia:WikiProject Cycling/Standard cyclist biography standards to see if that it might still be accepted but I do not think it will. Of course I know him, but not personally. I know him because I follow sports in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, where he became very famous in just a few months. After Primoz Roglic, anyone who comes from another sport to cycling is a phenomenon that is followed and cheered for. Especially when he is 18 years old, only one year in cycling and he made contract like a stranger with Slovenian Conti Team like beginner. I am a journalist, my job is to follow sports, I have been to most of the UCI races that were in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia (former Yugoslavia) and Hungary, Poland and Romania. We speak almost the same language and they ride the same races (Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia and Montenegro), so when the Eurosport commentator devotes 10 minutes to a rider Luka Turkulov on each stage when commenting on the Tour of Tour of Slovenia https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/tour-of-slovenia/2022/stage-1, then everyone in the region EX YU knows him. And then when that rider gets Covid 19 during the race, he mentions it in the next stages and almost cry, when he gives up. This race rode Pogacar, Majka, Mohoric, Sobrero, Groenewegen.... we are small countries, all the riders from region know each other, everyone knows them. I know it's not easy to understand that when you're from a big country..... On National Championsheeps ELIT he was second behind Dušan Rajović but in front of Veljko Stojnić two of the best Serbian professionals from Team Corratec.....The whole region cheered for him. Thank you for help Paul and understanding. As a journalist and spectator I cannot ignore his results in the 6 months since he became a UCI semi pro rider Livetrackingsamo (talk) 23:08, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah that's awesome to hear I do understand I am also from a small country I am from New Zealand. So yes I understand and I wish you well in your future editing! Paulpat99 (talk) 23:25, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Paul.It can be seen that the article has passed through the hands and revision of a professional.It really looking much better now. Thanks for your help. I still don't understand the logic of Wiki, and I'm not even trained to make websites... But I will learn slowly. All this are very interesting. If I ever have any other questions, I will be free to contact you. OK? Livetrackingsamo (talk) 11:14, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
One question right now. I'm sorry. If I would like the same on https://sr.wikipedia.org/ or https://hr.wikipedia.org/ of our other similar languages? Does it go automatically or have to be linked or it have to create new.......? Is verification pending for that as well? Livetrackingsamo (talk) 11:25, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can absolutely ask me questions whenever you want to you can leave a message on my talk page User talk:Paulpat99. Just to note I am not a professional I edit for fun.
I am not sure about the other language wikis they have different standards and ways of doing things, so just go through the same process I guess. I'm sure someone else will help you out when you try to make an article there. Cheers Paulpat99 (talk) 16:55, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much Paul Livetrackingsamo (talk) 17:24, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I relly dont understund how reference Wiki need about new page for new CT 2022
https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Cycling_Team_Kranj .
I recieved this from you:
"This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources."
This is getting frustrating. I don't know what kind of references you can give for the new (2022) Conti team other than
https://www.procyclingstats.com/team/ct-kranj-2022
https://firstcycling.com/team.php?l=29119 http://kklub-sava.si/ekipe/

Ok, I'm an ignorant journalist, not IT savvy, but...... help me to find Reliable sources if this existe .

Significant coverage is likely to exist for a team if it:
"A men's road team in the 1st (UCI WorldTeam), 2nd (UCI ProContinental), or 3rd (UCI Continental) tier;
A UCI team (including UCI women's team, UCI track team, UCI mountain bike team, UCI cyclo-cross team, etc.)."
CTK is new continental team. All data are verifiable and only available https://www.uci.org/team-details/17393 . It is the most relevant information from the most reliable source for one team . The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body of cycling, recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded on 14 April 1900 in Paris (France). Its headquarters have been located at the UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Aigle (Switzerland). The UCI has 201 National Federations, spread across five Continental Confederations.
