If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BioTime, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 16:43, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article has been moved

[edit]

into your user space at User:Lindsaylpeters/BioTime, Inc.. This should give you some time to get it right. Look at WP:CORP about corporate notability, and about WP:RS about the reliable independent sources you need to prove it. Don't be afraid to ask for advice, bur do remember that not all companies get articles. It's mainly a question of the available coverage - some things get it more than others. Good luck. Anything that has been copied from somewhere outside Wikipedia should go - please see WP:COPYVIO. Ask me if not sure. Peridon (talk) 21:53, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I looked at the article and would say that Notability based on Independent sources is missing. See WP:42.

Hello,

I saw through your article, and though wikipedia can be very confusing many a times, it is because we want only the best information to be seen on our pages. Your article has 2 major problems, while the rest can be sorted out. First is notablity. For us to have a different article on this company, you must say "WHY ITS FAMOUS?" or "Why is it notable enough to be included here"

Before you can add any article, you must add reliable secondary sources [which means that the company's page on themselves doesnt count] saying what is special about this company. Did any newspaper mention them becuase of some achievements? Is this company actually well known, like Coca Cola etc.

The other problem is that your article looks like an advertisement. We at wikipedia do not like advertisement. We want everything to be presented in as neutral a way as possible. Maybe you could cut down on a lot of details so it looks more like and article than an ad, and it shall be accepted!!!

For any further queries, and for asking me for help to improve your article, please ask me here TheOriginalSoni (talk) 19:41, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of User:Lindsaylpeters/BioTime, Inc.

[edit]

Hi there! I'm Darkwind, a clerk at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. I've determined that the version of your BioTime article at User:Lindsaylpeters/BioTime, Inc. contains too much copied material from the press release here, so I've asked for the page to be deleted per Wikipedia's copyright violation policy. Please feel free to ask me on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Darkwind (talk) 07:21, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
