Welcome!

Hello, Lindsay Kim, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Article choice

[edit]

I know we already talked in person but, FWIW, I think any of the 5 articles you selected are fine. This includes trying to write the trash balloons article. If you want to do that alongside improving one of the other ones (like Food museum which you seem to be working on), I think that would also be fine. —mako 06:20, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Got it. Thanks, Mako! Lindsay Kim (talk) 20:48, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that you have 5 articles assigned to yourself in the dashboard. I removed/unassigned all but Food museum since that is the only one you are currently working on. This will help people figure out which article to review as part of the peer review process. You can add the trash balloons one back when start working on it. —mako 17:49, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox

[edit]

I noticed that you are working on the food museum article revisions in this sandbox here: User:Lindsay Kim. The goal of this assignment is to work live in Wikipedia. That means you should be making your edits on the Food museum article directly.

I notice that you've broken up your edits into a series of smaller changes. That's great and is best practice. When you move your changes over, maybe you can do the same.

Let me or Roller steaks know if you need help with any of this. —mako 17:51, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review Article

[edit]

Im writing to inform you that your selected article, Xiaolongbao, was also selected by two of your peers before you got there. Unfortunately, you will have to select a new article. Roller steaks (talk) 20:24, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Food museum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alimentarius. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:53, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Food museum

I noticed that some of the content you added lacked sourcing. Please bear in mind that everything you add to Wikipedia needs to be tied directly to a reliable source. After the statement, there should be a source. You can use a single source to support several sentences in a row, if it supports everything you say in those sentences, but you need to have at least one source per paragraph, and you shouldn't have any text after the final reference in a paragraph (because that content is effectively unsourced).

If you need a refresher on how to add citations, please consult this training module. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:12, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
