Your reversion of vandalism on Archery

[edit]

Hello Limaye, just a heads-up about reverting vandalism. In general, it is better practice to revert to the last good version than to simply remove the vandalism; it's more efficient, and it gives the user more certainty that you are reinstating the correct version. Have a look at Help:Reverting for more info on reverting. Other than that, keep up your good work! GlobeGores (talk page | user page) 04:58, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request

[edit]

Hi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for rollback/Denied/March 2008#Limaye. RFRBot (talk) 01:00, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism reversion tools

[edit]

Hi there again, Limaye. You asked me personally how to get vandalism reversion tools, specifically what to put in your monobook.js. Here you go:

importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklefluff.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklewarn.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklearv.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklespeedy.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkleimage.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklediff.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkleprotect.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkleprod.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/morebits.js'); importScript('User:AzaToth/twinklexfd.js'); TwinkleConfig = { revertMaxRevisions  : 50, userTalkPageMode  : 'window', showSharedIPNotice  : true, openTalkPage  : [ 'agf', 'norm', 'vand' ], openTalkPageOnAutoRevert  : false, openAOLAnonTalkPage  : false, summaryAd  : " using TW", deletionSummaryAd  : " using TW", protectionSummaryAd  : " using TW", watchSpeedyPages  : [ 'g1', 'g3', 'g5', 'g10', 'g11', 'g12', 'a7' ], watchProdPages  : true, openUserTalkPageOnSpeedyDelete  : [ 'g1', 'g2', 'g10', 'g11', 'g12', 'a1', 'a7', 'i3', 'i4', 'i5', 'i6', 'i7', 'u3', 't1' ], watchRevertedPages  : [ 'agf', 'norm', 'vand', 'torev' ], markRevertedPagesAsMinor  : [ 'agf', 'norm', 'vand', 'torev' ], deleteTalkPageOnDelete  : false, watchWarnings  : true, markAIVReportAsMinor  : true, markSpeedyPagesAsMinor  : true, offerReasonOnNormalRevert  : true, orphanBacklinksOnSpeedyDelete  : {orphan:true, exclude:['g6']} }; importScript("User:Lupin/recent2.js");

I know this looks a bit messy, but copy it into your monobook.js page by opening the edit tab for this section and copying everything within the "nowiki tags" (except the nowiki tags themselves). Then bypass your browser's cache (for information on how to do this, see Wikipedia:Bypass your cache). You should see a few new tabs along the top of the screen; these give you the ability to warn someone, report someone to the administrators' board for blocking vandals, propose an article for speedy deletion, propose an article for deletion by PRODding it, finding the most recent revision in the page history, requesting an article for page protection, and nominating an article for deletion through the Articles for Deletion process. For more information, see the respective information pages for the three tools given in this code: TWINKLE's information page, the popups information page, and the information page for Lupin's anti-vandal tool. Note that your tools can and will be taken away if abused!

Also, I noticed you are a member of WikiProject Artemis Fowl. So am I :-). I'm currently working on a draft form of Magic (Artemis Fowl); you can see what I've done at User:GlobeGores/Magic (Artemis Fowl). Feel free to add to it if you have anything to add!

Hope this helps. Thanks, GlobeGores (talk page | user page) 00:24, 15 April 2008 (UTC) I have edited this message for clarity. GlobeGores (talk page | user page) 00:41, 15 April 2008 (UTC) [reply]

Your revert of my edits to Amur brown bear

[edit]

Why did you revert my changes to this page as vandalism? I'm an admin, I declined the speedy deletion request and improved the page by adding content & a reference. It most certainly was NOT vandalism! Please be more careful with the tools you are using! --Versageek 03:21, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of James Thomas (Student)

[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
