Large quotes
[edit]Hi Lgonzalezsmith, I saw that you posted a large quote to the article on sexism in medicine. Wikipedia tends to discourage large quotes unless there's no way to summarize the material in our own words. Part of the reason for this is copyright related, as fair use really only covers a relatively small quote. The essay at Wikipedia:Overquoting gives a good, brief overview of this, but you can read over the more formal sections on quoting here and here. This section on overquoting is also very good to examine. 10 words is typically seen as the acceptable quote length and 30 words is seen as a bit excessive for a single quote.
