You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on LeRoy Seth McQuay requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. i dont understand.

[edit]

i don't understand you guys stated: A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content). An article about a real person, individual animal(s), organization (for example, a band, club, or company, not including educational institutions),[5] or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works. This criterion does not apply to species of animals, only to individual animal(s). The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines.[6] The criterion does apply if the claim of significance or importance given is not credible. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion. but the article i given was based on someone. it was actually about me. i am the owner and creator of the page that i created. it was about me and i wasn't finished updating it.

you have articles about other people out there. i know i can name a few. but yet i am not allowed to write a article that is about someone. i am just not understanding how i couldn't or wasn't allowed to put a article about myself. or my grandfather.

We can't just have articles on everyone. For there to be an article in the main encyclopedia the subject should be notable, according to community agreed standards, and there should be independent, verifiable material written about them in reliable sources. Your article (which has since been moved to your userpage - the appropriate place for info about yourself as a Wikipedia contributor) did not meet these standards. Even if you met the criteria for notability, it is still ill-advised to write an article about yourself or a subject to which you are personally connected. The advice at Wikipedia:Your first article may be useful to you. Please feel free to ask me if there is anything I haven't been clear about. AJCham 20:55, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
