I am trying to create the NEHEP (National Eye Health Education Program) page for the agency itself. The SM person who runs the social media for the NEHEP would like us to use approved language, which is why so much of it was taken directly from the NEHEP web page. We had our editor tweak it and she signed off on it, but the problem is that now (and understandably) we are having issues with copyright violations. My question is that because the client themselves and original creators of the content want to use it again, is there a way we can do that? On the help chat they explained they would need some type of proof (makes sense!), but we have no problem with getting that. I'm sure we aren't the first government organization that would like to create a page explaining what they exist for. :D The SM chair wants us to create the page since a lot of people don't understand what NEHEP does (especially as it relates to the National Eye Institute [NEI}). Any guidance would be appreciated.

Simple answer is no. We can't accept copy and pasted text. If you put it into your own words, then it's ok. Mdann52 (talk) 15:57, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
