Image:ALOUATTAPALLIATA.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:ALOUATTAPALLIATA.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. coelacan20:12, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Alouattapalliata1.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Alouattapalliata1.jpg and also as Image:Allouatapalliata1.jpg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 16:02, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Mazamagouazoubira.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mazamagouazoubira.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:09, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Regarding your edits to Yellow-rumped Cacique:[edit]

Your recent edit to Yellow-rumped Cacique (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. You have been identified as a new user or a logged out editor using a hosting or shared IP address to add email addresses, phone numbers, YouTube, Geocities, Myspace, Facebook, blog, forum, or other such free-hosting website links to a non-talk page. Please note that such links are generally to be avoided. You can restore any other content by editing the page and re-adding that content. The links can be reviewed and restored by established users. Thank you for contributing! // VoABot II 16:26, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please note that in cases like the Agami Heron you do not need to repeat the article title in the image box-it's assumed to be the same species as the title if you just put chick. Your name and the location should go on the image page, not in the main article, thanks, jimfbleak 05:18, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging[edit]

Hi, I noticed you tagged the image Image:Alouattapalliata.jpg as GFDL. When you use the image tags don't put nowiki around them, otherwise they will not transclude correctly. Take a look at it now to see how it looks when it works correctly if you want. Also, that is the cutest picture ever :) I know wikipedia can seem overwhelming at first, and it looks like you've gotten a lot of automatic messages. There really are humans here, I promise :) If you have any questions let me know. - cohesion 23:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
