My opinion on Artie Moore: I agree that it is not nonsense and that the subject seems notable enough to merit inclusion, but the article appears to be original research, whereas a good Wikipedia article should be encyclopedic in tone and provide proper sources and attribution for the information therein. I have tagged the article as such and removed the speedy tag. --Finngall talk 19:44, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Artiebow.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Artiebow.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

More on Artie Moore

[edit]
If you can provide references to the newspaper articles you've cited, that would be superb. There are mentions of his story out there on the web, and links to those would also be a good thing where appropriate. Also, please check out Wikipedia's Manual of Style for more info on formatting standards. Others will likely come along and make changes and improvements as well--that's what this is all about.
And it's a mistake to think that because "drivel and inane crap" exists, that it has been "approved". More likely, it's simply that nobody has gotten around to it yet. So much new material gets added that it's impossible to catch all of the crap. You can make improvements yourself, or nominate articles for deletion. My main activity here these days is to troll the new page list and tag the drivel I find for deletion. I'm not an administrator--anyone can do this. That's where I found your article. And believe me, after wading through the spam, the nonsense, the vandalism, the vanity articles, and the "my classmate is a doodoo head and is gay" articles, it's refreshing to be able to defend a new article. Like I said, it needs work, but that's okay. Thanks, and take care. --Finngall talk 21:28, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Aberfan disaster. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 21:57, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rick Rescorla, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Welsh (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Is this Leighton of Injuns fame or a different gay, doodoo head? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.158.213.127 (talk) 18:42, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
