WP:AFC Helper News
Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.
- AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
- The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.
Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:00, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Independent sources
Hello, Lee. How are you? I have a question. Recently, several reliable sources reported that Shane Mcmahon left wwe. However, the information was removed because an user think that it fits wp:rumor since there is no official statement by wwe. However, I think his edition doesn't meet wp:independent source. The sources like pwinsider and CBS are reliable and report a fact, not rumor. But there are some users that remove the information if wwe doesn't confirm it. Several months ago, Pwinsider reported that wwe signed John Morrison and Eva Marie, but people removed because wwe didn't announced it. Of course, wwe is a company and has his own interest like surprises with returns or not to announce the release of a Mcmahon. So, do you think that removing sourced information just because wwe doesn't confirm it is right or wrong?--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 22:45, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
- We care what the secondary sources say. What the WWE decides to release is only helpful if there is some confusion. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 07:43, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. I mean, it's strange since pro wrestling has this mentality of "if it's not confirmed by WWE, then it's a rumor", so basicly, we fail WP:INDEPENDENTSOURCES. BTW, do you mind to see the Shane McMahon article? There are some trouble about if he stills with WWE or not, so maybe a more neutral POV is needed (i'm so obstuse sometimes, since the "WWE didn't confirmed" is very present and I had several problems in the past) --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 10:58, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
- I mean, the point is... Several independent sources reported that Shane McMahon left WWE[1][2][3][4][5], but WWE never made an official statement. Per WP:INDEPENDENTSOURCE, Shane is gone (maybe WWE doesn't want to fire him publicly). Then, [1] Marco Masotti, the owner of South Africa’s Sharks rugby team, tweeter a picture of him with Shane with the text " Excited for a partnership between WWE and rugby." The source says that apparently, Shane stills with WWE based on their interpretation of a Tweet. So, what do you think? For me, Meltzer, CBS have more weight and credibility (talked with inside sources) rather than a interpretation of a Tweet.--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 16:37, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- Well, yes, exactly that. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 20:06, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of 2022 Masters (snooker)
The article 2022 Masters (snooker) you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:2022 Masters (snooker) for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Repatriation tax avoidance GA review prep
Lee Vilenski, when you updated the talk page to change the GA nominee template's talk page to 2, you also deleted the status parameter. Please don't ever delete "|status=": it's a required field, and the bot cannot handle GA nominee templates without it. Leave the status parameter and equal sign, and just delete the value after the equal sign, whether "onreview" or "onhold" or "2ndopinion". If you check the GAN page history, you'll see that it tried several times to complete registering the new nomination as under review, but without a status parameter it couldn't add "onreview" to the talk page's GA nominee template. (I ultimately added both the parameter and "onreview" manually, which satisfied the bot.) Many thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 17:17, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
