Poetry of James VI and I moved to draftspace

[edit]

I'm moving this back to draft space. It's not a WP article. The text of the poems belongs in Wikisource; a referenced discussion of them, with some text example, would be appropriate for WP. The reviewer who accepted it may not have realized. I really apologize for any confusion.

And, in fact, we badly need a proper article on this. The first step, I think, would be to aadd a section on his poetry to the general article on him. In addition to the texts you used, there's [1]. There should be some material for criticism in the various introductions, and probably in his biographies , but I have not done an actual search of theacademic literature. If you wantto go further, there should be a section and pcalso a full article on his letters , for which there is a good modern ed. and quite a bit of discussion. Hello, LeannaMartine. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Poetry of James VI and I".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 17:18, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
