Interwiki Project
[edit]Hi Le temps perdu, I guess you speak French, but I didn't see an user with this pseudo on fr.wiki. I saw you add many french interwikis (not only), and maybe you will be interested by the fr:Projet:Interwikification. Bye --Sisyph (talk) 01:01, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hello Sisyph, thank you for the message. "Je ne parle pas beaucoup de francais", as they say, mais une quantite suffisante pour
(a?)ajouter les (des?) liens interwikis.
- I noticed you are running a bot, and that it recently added a bunch of links to es: that I added to en: (ici). I have wanted to ask an interwiki bot owner if there is an option to "follow my edits" so that a bot adds them to the other wikipedias. There is no use adding the links manually to more than one wikipedia when a bot can, in principle, do the rest. The category links seem especially unlikely, or slow, to be picked up by bots. - This is excellent: [1]. It makes a big difference to whether I consider my linking worthwhile, knowing that it is propagating to other wikis. Thanks. Le temps perdu (talk) 06:15, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- I wanted to say you that I had run my bot after your answer, but you see it! Actually, my bot don't know follow user contribs in an autonomous way, it's semi-manually for the moment. That's true, a false linking spreads in all wikis. It's not so secure as IWLC, but faster, anyway any bot can spread interwikis, just, as you said Category space is quite forgotten by bots and probably your interwiki would be had next year on the other wikis. My bot ran once all pages on category space, it was in April 2009, but it's very huge, now I prefer to deal with specific fields, as Category:People from XXX, where I noticed you have contribuated a lot, so my first message for you. --Sisyph (talk) 10:00, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Sisyph, could you point your bot at my recent interwiki additions once again? Thanks, Le temps perdu (talk) 08:32, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
- D'accord, je le fais, j'ai quelques problèmes de connexions, tu as encore fais un gros travail. --Sisyph (talk) 22:36, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
