The page User:Lcc46/sandbox/Randall-Paulson Architects has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the content of the page appeared to be purely promotion of something or someone, and was unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. James, I admit to being a first time author but find this certainly not helpful in any way, shape or manner. I contest this deletion and ask it be reinstated, modified if necessary. I used 2 other design firm sites to model this draft - HOK and Gensler. Unverifiable marketing claims were not included. Please be much more specific regarding text that concerns you. I especially note that it was a draft, and had not had time to add citations etc. And please send to me asap the entire text that you deleted. My email address is lcarruth@randallpaulson.com. That was a day of work taken from RPA that I need returned.Lcc46 (talk) 21:05, 15 June 2015 (UTC) Lcc46 (talk) 21:37, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, if you can write a whole page full of such pure marketing-speak as "It has a high repeat clientele and is known for responsive, attentive service coupled with expressive and bold design", "The practice is historically strong in industrial/distribution facility types and retail center design", "Early adoption and utilization of advanced project and management software and hardware is understood by Randall-Paulson leadership to improve client service and internal efficiencies", "delivers comprehensive, integrated capabilities that streamline operations and execution as well as improve business performance", and so on and so on, and not regard it as promotional, then I am not sure you will be able to edit in the neutral way needed for Wikipedia articles. However, I shall restore the page for you to work on. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 21:41, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your comments James and the opportunity to align it with Wikipedia standards. Please allow sufficient time to edit a revised draft and then to submit it for official review. Thanks, Lcc46 (talk) 21:46, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That submission is basically a load of promotional marketing spam. Please read WP:NPOV and Wikipedia:Your first article for how to write an article that's actually appropriate for Wikipedia. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:50, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You say above, "Please send to me the entire text that you deleted ... that was a day of work taken from RPA." Am I interpreting this correctly, that you are in fact an employee of RPA? If so, WP's conflict of interest rules are applicable, and you should not probably be writing that article at all. DoctorJoeE review transgressions/talk to me! 00:31, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Lcc46/sandbox/Randall-Paulson Architects, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
