Edo State
[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to Edo State appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 20:39, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks , corrections taken Lazborn (talk) 07:28, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Edo State, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bini. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

- I simply don't believe you and that's all I'm going to say. Graham87 (talk) 12:10, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Graham87!
- I understand trust is earned over a period of time. I joined Wikipedia over a year ago on the notion of helping contribute to some of all human knowledge, bridging Content Gap and contributing reliable, accurate and verifiable information.
- In the first few months, I was largely passive until I was reading a medical laboratory info that I saw the citation needed tag. I made efforts to get it fixed and ever since, most my edits revolve around fixing citation tag until recently I learnt how to add Wiki links. Seeing (on my User home page) the little efforts I have made and how people all over the world benefits by reading it gives me joy and the zeal to continue.
- I would implore you to assume good faith and give me a second chance. I promise not to abuse these privileges going forward. Thanks for your time and consideration. Regards! Lazborn (talk) 14:06, 12 November 2023 (UTC)

Your editing pattern is highly suspicious. You've been making mass semi-automated edits of little utility. Graham87 (talk) 12:55, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Good day @Graham87!
- Thank you for finding your time to reply my messages. Despite you saying you "don't believe" me, I would once again implore you to good faith in any mistake I must have made unintentionally and plead you kindly reconsider and unblock my account.
- I would be glad if you could explain what "mass semi-automated edits" mean as most of my edit are all manually done on phone. Thanks for your time and consideration.
- Regards! Lazborn (talk) 18:56, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- No. If you were actually doing all those edits manually, it means you must be far too incompetent to edit here. Also see below. Graham87 (talk) 06:08, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.

- I've just gotten your email; I've removed email access too now. The short answer to your email is ... no. Graham87 (talk) 16:29, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
Unblocked
[edit]Hi Lazborn, I've just e-mailed you. Bradv has unblocked you. I apologise on behalf of the community for how you were treated. In case you want to give Wikipedia another chance, I've very belatedly placed a "welcome" template at the top of this page; it links to pages explaining our guidelines and rules as well as to places to ask for help. I also note from reading above that you were editing on a phone and having some trouble figuring out links and references; did you realise that it's possible to switch to the easier desktop interface on a smartphone? (This page is directed at experienced editors, but you may find it useful for the practical information. Again, I'm sorry, and I hope you do come back. Yngvadottir (talk) 02:52, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Lazborn, unfortunately, you were blocked by an administrator who has largely lost the trust of the Wikipedia community. I very much regret that you were mistreated this way, and I hope that you will consider returning to editing. If you need any assistance with your return, I will be happy to help you. I am sure that Yngvadottir feels the same way. Cullen328 (talk) 03:42, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for posting this, Yngvadottir. Lazborn, I hope you read this and come back to editing. You deserve better than this. – bradv 05:00, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for this opportunity I'm very grateful and I promise to continue improving myself to prevent further errors that might lead to another block. Thank you once more Lazborn (talk) 08:39, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Glad to see you return. I want to emphasize that not only were you mistreated, but you were mistreated by someone who flagrantly misused their administrator tools and no longer has them. That doesn't, however, stop him or anyone else from calling you incompetent or suspicious, which is still completely unacceptable behaviour. If that kind of thing happens to you again, please go to WP:TEA for a sanity check and we'll be able to provide assistance. -- asilvering (talk) 18:07, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Lazborn, I wanted to express my regret for the way you were treated, which was completely unacceptable, and also to add my apologies on behalf of the Wikipedia community. You did not deserve this. I hope you will be able to shake it off. Maybe think of it like this analogy: you got into a car accident on the highway that was entirely not your fault, you got shaken up pretty well, but are basically fine; nothing broken. Maybe you are shy about getting behind the wheel again for a short while, understandably, but friends are rallying to you and urging you to drive again. As a newly minted driver, sure you are going to make mistakes sometimes—we all do—but that is an opportunity to learn, and given the accident, you are probably going to watch out more for the other guy and become more of a defensive driver than most, which is always a good thing. If you need some time, take it; but I urge you to shake it off, and edit again. You will find there are a lot of editors out there who have got your back. Feel free to contact me anytime on my Talk page if you have questions, and there is always the Teahouse. Best of luck, and welcome back! Mathglot (talk) 22:24, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'm happy and glad to be back to the community after a long period of my 8-9months block and I want to use this medium to equally thank you all for unblocking me, this means a lot to me though during the period of the block the spirit of contributing to the community was affected but I'll do my best to keep learning more to ensure mistakes that will lead to another block is completely avoided. Once again thank you Lazborn (talk) 13:51, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
A kitten for you!
[edit]welcome back :) it is already mentioned in your welcome message but WP:Teahouse is a good place to ask questions should you have any!

[edit]I'm glad you've come back, despite being met with unacceptable hostility. I hope you have a great time, and I'm sorry that happened. If you ever need help, the community is always open. :)
