Lists of stations
[edit]Thanks for trying to help by adding lists of stations to the London Overground articles. You may have missed it, but we already have the list of stations is already included in the route maps in the articles and also in the template bars at the bottom of the articles (these can be expanded to show the stations). We don't want to duplicate the same information too many times so I am going to take your new lists out. Please don't be put off by this. If is perfectly normal for new Wikipedians to make some minor mistakes as they get used to the way Wikipedia works. Keep trying and I am sure you will be OK. BTW, I have added a welcome message at the top of this page with links that might be useful. Regards, --DanielRigal (talk) 12:19, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Class455fan1, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Hello, I'm AnemoneProjectors. I noticed that you made a change to an article, The X Factor (UK series 12), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Your edits to The X Factor (UK series 12)
[edit]Hi, I just wanted to point out some of the unnecessary edits you've been making on a regular basis, in the hope that you will stop making them and essentially undoing my corrections:
- Duets on The X Factor should read "Artist A and Artist B" not "Artist A & Artist B". Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, so complete words like "and" should be used over symbols like "&".
- There is no need to change a reference name once it is in use in an article, for example, you changed the ref name "Little Mix Fleur East XF Final" to "Little Mix & Fleur XF Final". All this served to do was break the reference further down the page where it was used for a second time.
- When using the same reference twice, you correctly use a reference name, but the second time you use the reference, there is no need to duplicate the entire reference, just the reference name in the format <ref name="Little Mix & Fleur XF Final"/> (note the / before the >). No other reference text is needed for further uses of the same reference.
- I used a reference named "Adele Coldplay One Direction" to confirm that the three artists were performing, but you removed it and replaced it with three individual references. The references do not have to be from ITV, so once something is confirmed, there is no need to replace the reference unless it gives new information. I have restored this reference, as it seems more sensible to use one instead of three.
- Overlinking. When something is linked in an article, it should not be linked again, especially in the same paragraph of text, as in Ben Haenow, Fleur East, One Direction and Little Mix in the "musical guests" section.
Thanks. AnemoneProjectors 16:20, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- This all applies to The X Factor (UK series 13) now as well, especially in relation to referencing. anemoneprojectors 11:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- It still applies today as well. You correctly include a "ref name" but when you use a reference twice, you copy and ENTIRE reference, instead of just using the "ref name". anemoneprojectors 18:24, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
- Seriously, PLEASE learn how to use ref name correctly! You added the ITV reference to one part of the article using a ref name, I added the ref name to the other part of the article, and then you changed my edit to include the whole reference, repeated! You did not need to make any edits, so I have undone them. Thanks. anemoneprojectors 16:19, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
- La la la... just checking if you've bothered to read these messages yet... anemoneprojectors 20:28, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
- Clearly not. I'm now wondering what I can do to get you to read this. I've already tried tweeting you via the twitter account I found on that blog you run, but you don't seem to read your tweets either. anemoneprojectors 15:31, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
- So having just realised that you used a different account on Wikipedia in 2013 (Lawsj1234) and I was asking the same things of you back then, next time you do it I'll start issuing warnings against disruptive editing, which could end in you being blocked from editing for a period of time - unless you respond to me. [edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of bus routes in London. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Muffled Pocketed 13:47, 30 May 2016 (UTC)

- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. - If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Charles (talk) 17:29, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at List of bus routes in London. Class455 (talk) 20:24, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
- This is your last chance. Please stop doing the following things:
- 1. Adding unsourced content to articles such as the List of London Bus routes, and don't add undue detail. When you add content to Wikipedia, it must be backed up by a reliable source. If there isn't one available, please add a {{cn}} tag next to the article and add a source when one becomes available. If you need help classifying a reliable source about buses, which you mainly edit, then you can see the page I've linked or feel free to drop me a message on my talk.
- 2. Do not edit while logged out of your account. It is considered disruptive as you are using these IP's to edit war with other editors. By doing this, you risk being blocked for abusing multiple accounts. The only time it is allowed is when you have issues logging in.
- 3. When you want to make a big change to articles, please seek consensus from others on the article's talk pages.
- If you continue doing these two things, you will eventually end up at the Administrator's Noticeboard. If you need any help, I'll be happy to help you, but please stop doing the above, it is disruptive and annoys other editors, and this is why you end up receiving warnings on your talk page. Thank you. Class455 (talk) 20:48, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
- Please do not make unsourced changes as you did in this edit [1].SovalValtos (talk) 07:30, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Your recent edit to Britain's Got Talent (series 13) had to be amended, due to the fact that articles covering TV series/seasons currently being broadcast should not act like a news site regarding any significant events or changes being made, as it is against Wikipedia policies. Guest Performers for a series/season must be placed within the sections covering each live episode, and within the line beginning "Guest Performers:", followed by the citation to support this information. Please be careful when editing in the future. GUtt01 (talk) 17:08, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
