Image source problem with Image:Henry parsons crowell.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Henry parsons crowell.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:28, 20 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Naohiro19 revertvandal (talk) 00:28, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

[edit]

You request advice. Study these edits carefully. A few points:

  • correct capitalisation of title
  • you do not need to say the article is a bio!
  • you do not start with an heading. You do start with a proper introductory paragraph - the present one is not yet good enough
  • you put <references /> or {{reflist}} at the end or the refs will be invisible
  • you do not link to Wikipedia articles via refs in external link format! Use wikilinks!
  • naked URLs are obscene
  • duplicated refs are handled via name=

You attempted to leave a message at User talk:Naohiro19. It did not work - try again. I could not understand your addition to Quaker Oats and I don't think this edit has corrected it. Please tidy. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 11:49, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lauyukpui (talk) 16:57, 21 July 2008 (UTC) Kevin: the article was edited. check again if there is anything wrong. thanks.[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Crowell Trust, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.crowelltrust.org. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Crowell Trust

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Crowell Trust requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Crowell Trust, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 04:06, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
