Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Spoonerism, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. You changed a direct (& cited) quote. Please be more careful. Also please use the edit summaries to explain your edits. It helps everybody. Hertz1888 (talk) 19:01, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Neuro-Immuno Deficiency Syndrome, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Neuro-Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

A tag has been placed on Sonic News Network requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. NPervez 15:49, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Formatting

{{helpme|How would I be able to align a table to the right?}}

I think you add 'align="right"' (without the surrounding ' marks) at the beginning of the table markup. See also Help:Tables#Floating table's first example (in that section). That page in general might help you as well. If I'm wrong, feel free to post the {{helpme}} template again. Killiondude (talk) 06:42, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mercedes Rose, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.mariowiki.com/Mercedes_Rose. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:22, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Mercedes Rose.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 19:28, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Nicholas Stewart

The article Nicholas Stewart has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

does not appear to be notable enough character to justify a page - redirect to The Others (film)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD (talk) 07:40, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of redirect of TOT2

While I have no particular preference for what happens to that redirect, you were completely out of order using R3 as grounds for speedy deletion - that is specifically for recently created redirects, and there is no way that a redirect that is over 5 years old qualifies. -- Arwel Parry (talk) 13:04, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

It should have been listed on Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion. -- Arwel Parry (talk) 16:44, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Girls

Ok there was no closing / in the tag. Are you familiar with the albums wikiproject? they have a standard way of laying out track listings, and the useful template {{Infobox album}}. Rich Farmbrough, 16:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC).

I have no idea whether the album is notable or not, and that is what the notability tag is for. The article does not establish the notability of the album. If it is notable, there should be some reviews in trade publications or chart history or other indication of importance in reliable sources. Thanks. --Wolfer68 (talk) 20:12, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Here Come the Girls (song)

The article Here Come the Girls (song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication of how this may meet WP:NSONGS lacks references to 3rd party sources. No claim to notability such as charting.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

September 2009

Thank you for your contribution, but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember that Wikipedia is a widely-used reference tool, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the sandbox to get started. Thank you. Dale 20:43, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

New signature

Per WP:SIG#Must not be used, images must not be used in signatures. Please amend ASAP. Thanks. Rd232 talk 17:06, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

A signature that size is disruptive; you may not use non-free images in that way; you're using an unsubst-ed template; and the template is in mainspace. Wrong in so many ways. Please go back to your standard signature immediately, before considering how to make a cute signature that meets policy. Rd232 talk 17:13, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Template:Launchballer has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. GrooveDog (oh hai.) 19:41, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Signature

You are still using a template-signature after being asked not to more than a month ago. Please change it immediately; see WP:SIG if you need help doing this.

Also, please stop using your signature as the title of sections on pages and noticeboards (use something descriptive instead). Thanks. ╟─TreasuryTagbelonger─╢ 17:04, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

This is not a choice. Your signature has to fit in the signature box, and be fewer than 255 characters, it must not be a template, and you must stop using it as a section heading. Please deal with this directly. ╟─TreasuryTagdraftsman─╢ 19:05, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
Please amend your signature forthwith to no longer call a template. Stifle (talk) 10:43, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
The reason I use it like that is because sometimes I need to change the colours on it, and using it in the way I do I can change it. Also, updating the template would update all previous sigs--

Launchballer 16:20, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Be that as it may, it's forbidden by Wikipedia rules because it causes an excessive drain on server resources. You are liable to get blocked if you don't change it. Stifle (talk) 17:43, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Also, the user subpage that you keep transcluding is visible to all editors and editable by anyone. You really don't want to give a vandal the opportunity to replace your signature with "disregard that, I suck cocks" on every talk page you ever edited with a single click. Jafeluv (talk) 11:02, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Please read this carefully, because it is the last warning you will receive. Do not use a non-substituted template as your signature. Change it immediately – this is not a friendly choice you're being given, it's a direct instruction. Do not continue using your signature as a section-heading (if you don't understand what this means, then ask someone), as it makes pages difficult to follow and is disruptive. ╟─TreasuryTagprorogation─╢ 06:46, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Wait one second. I am substituting a template, User:Launchballer/signature. You're saying I'm not substituting a template.--Launchballer 15:14, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
OK, I'm going to make this clear once, and if you edit again after receiving this message and have not changed your signature, you will be blocked from editing. Do NOT use a substituted template as your signature. Your sig must be fewer than 255 characters, and appear in full text on the page, rather than as {{User:Launchballer/Signature|1=#FF0000|2=#00FFFF}} as it does now. Final warning. ╟─TreasuryTagsundries─╢ 15:31, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Template:Talkbubble has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for deletion page. Thank you. Rd232 talk 17:58, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Your signature is too long

OK. You have one last chance, and then you are going to be reported to the administrators' noticeboard.

  1. Reduce the length of your signature. It is currently 836 characters, taking up nine lines of my (wide)screen. It must be 255 or fewer characters, and take up only a couple of lines at most.
  2. Stop using your signature as a section-heading (as in, don't type ~~~~ in the "subject/headline" box or between the == signs. You must use ordinary words that describe the content of the message, like an ordinary person.

Please act on this at once. ╟─TreasuryTagduumvirate─╢ 17:38, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

As you wish

Please see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#836-character_sig. ╟─TreasuryTagconstabulary─╢ 19:37, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

There is a strong consensus at the above discussion that your signature needs to be shortened. Please reduce its length at once, or you will be blocked until it is of an acceptable length. Thank you. Hersfold (t/a/c) 20:12, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

MfD nomination of User:Launchballer/Signature

User:Launchballer/Signature, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Launchballer/Signature and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Launchballer/Signature during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 23:00, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

I have removed the fields from your signature, as they are pointless in that signatures are only to be substituted, and since upon signing your signature is substituted, you wouldn't be able to fill out the fields as you normally would be able to in a template.— dαlus Contribs 06:34, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
He can fill out the fields in his preferences' signature field though, where the subst: occurs. I don't see the point of having it set up that way though, since he could just edit the signature page to change the colors instead. I asked him this in the MfD. Equazcion (talk) 06:36, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
(edit conflict)Also, note that as said above, signatures are only to be substituted. This means that you cannot sign with {{User:Launchballer/Signature}}. You must sign with {{SUBST:User:Launchballer/Signature}}. Failure to comply will likely result in a swift block, as template calls are very costly, hence why signatures are not allowed to use templates in their code. You can do this by, when in your preferences, changing {{User:Launchballer/Signature}} in your signature box to {{SUBST:User:Launchballer/Signature}}.— dαlus Contribs 06:39, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

I sign with {{subst:User:Launchballer/signature}}.--Launchballer 06:40, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

What's your point? It still uses the code transcluded from your sig page.— dαlus Contribs 06:46, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Ahh, I see. Good.— dαlus Contribs 06:50, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
  • As you did not bring your signature subpage into the required 255< character length (it was 363 characters at last check), I've closed the MFD as delete per WP:SIG. I would advise you that further signature use that is over 255 characters in its final substituted form will result in sanctions including blocks. Might I suggest pasting the following directly into the signature box?

... Baby One More Time

You moved it to a title that doesn't match the title listed on the article, and did so without discussing it on the talk page first. Moving an article that has been at one place for over four years is pretty controversial, and moving it to a title that doesn't match the cover is pretty controversial, so it shouldn't be done without discussion.—Kww(talk) 21:39, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:

It's been several years since I was last here (almost 40 months) and I feel that I am a much better editor for it. I know what I did then was completely out of order and I have no intention to do so again, and I have been working constructively on many other Wikia projects without issue (under the name Launchballer, hence why I'm requesting unblock here and not at the puppetmaster account). It's time for a fresh start.

Accept reason:

Wikia projects (which make no difference here) or Wikimedia projects, such as Simple Wikipedia, etc? (✉→BWilkins←✎) 22:30, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Ah. I had meant Wikia. Surely, though, both Wikimedia projects and Wikia are sister projects of Wikipedia and therefore it would have made no difference whatsoever?--Launchballer 23:24, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Wikia is unaffiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation and its projects, and wikis hosted by Wikia are managed by private individuals; if you'd contributed to another Wikimedia project, that would be better, as they have similar editing processes, policies, and guidelines. That said, I'd be willing to consider this request. What do you intend to work on if unblocked, and what assurances do we have that you will not attempt to violate policy again? Hersfold non-admin(t/a/c) 18:38, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Despite the fact that it was the same folks that founded it? Anyway, my intention is to fix templates and spelling, grammar and punctuation errors on topics I don't know much about, and for the stuff I do more substantial edits, such as rewording a poorly written article and/or translating sections from foreign language Wikis. As for assurances, the only one you have is the one I'm issuing right now; I promise not to make any intentionally malicious edits in future.--Launchballer 00:27, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
One thing I would say is a requirement if you want us to consider your Wikia activity to be considered, is to confirm there that you are the same person, and link here to the place where you did so. We have no way of connecting accounts here to Wikia accounts. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 19:23, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
