If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BLONDER TONGUE LABS INC, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Drmies (talk) 04:26, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Laphere. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Aetrium Inc., for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. - Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:14, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article China Zenix Auto International has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 17:16, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. 220 of Borg 13:17, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Student project

[edit]

Hello, Laphere and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Helpme}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, if your class doesn't already have one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! --Tryptofish (talk) 16:31, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article TearLab has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Small company does not appear to be notable. Not enough independent reliable references showing significant coverage to demonstrate notability. Most companies of this size are not notable enough to qualify for a stand-alone Wikipedia article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 07:00, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Giga-tronics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Can't find significant coverage in reliable sources - see talk page for details. Also close paraphrasing from copyrighted material and over-reliance on non-reliable sources. If this company is notable, it's better to WP:STARTOVER.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

The article IsoRay has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of significant coverage from reliable sources independent of the company. I tried searching for sources and came up short. See talk page for details.

Please suspend creating new business articles

[edit]

It appears as though you and over 20 others are engaged in some sort of student or university project. This project has resulted in the creation of numerous articles about companies that do not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines, numerous other articles of companies that may meet these guidelines but which the article does not have enough independent, reliable sources providing significant coverage to demonstrate it, and some others that are just in need of a major rewrite. Some of these articles have been deleted and others likely will be deleted. The creation of articles that would have been better off never created wastes your time and the time of other editors.

Please read Wikipedia:Education noticeboard/Incidents/Archive 2#Group of New/Newish Editors Creating/Editing pages about companies and User talk:Whisoseryus#Deletions, then talk to your professors and, finally, wait for feedback from other experienced editors before continuing to create such articles.

If you would like to discuss this matter with the experienced Wikipedia editors who are already involved in this situation, please go to Wikipedia:Education noticeboard/Incidents/Archive 2#Group of New/Newish Editors Creating/Editing pages about companies, edit that section, and add a new sub-section at the bottom by adding something like this:

===Question from Laphere===
Hi, this is Laphere, I have a question .....

or some such. Note that the section title starts with three equals-signs instead of the usual two. Also, do not start any line in your comment, including the line with the equals-signs, with a space. I did so above to provide illustrations. Oh, don't forget to "sign" your comment using ~~~~. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 05:59, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Aetrium for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Aetrium is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aetrium until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:56, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
