Not vandalizing

[edit]

Hey, you keep reverting my changes. I am not vandalizing Roland Orzabal's page. I am adding a comment. That's all. Nothing more -- people need boundaries before they edit his page. It's just a blanket statement.

CaptainObviousDuh!, Yes you are, if it the info can be found online and is in a WP:RS, then it can be in the article. So STOP. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 17:47, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Polymathy - Self reference of academic work?

[edit]

I am working on a master thesis with respect to polymathy for NYU. I noticed that the entry in Wikipedia has research written in third party by the researcher Michael Araki, who also submitted the article?!? While I don't have an opinion per se with respect to the material I wanted to know if this is standard practice in Wikipedia. It seemed a bit off and I saw that you tried to fix it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.233.107.74 (talk) 00:54, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

i reverted it due to COI concerns and it appeared to be unsourced. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 13:40, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Improving Article

[edit]

Please see the improved version here: https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=The_Plum_Guide&oldid=940120705 This is not promotional, it is factual and as you can see is a better version of the current page. Not sure why you are reverting it to the worse version? 73.229.177.165 (talk) 17:59, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your version is not improved, your edits are also the same of a few different blocked users. As such, this IP will be reported for block evasion. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 18:41, 10 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

There is a user named Livelikemusic that has repeatedly edit warred & started fights with multiple users. They constantly play the victim, they have reverted many edits from users. They always think they are correct. Dival1999 (talk) 16:36, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dival1999, you did not format it right. I tried to fix it but failed. So I reverted it back to your verson. I will ask someone to help fix the template. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 16:41, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much, not sure if you’re an admin or not but this user “Livelikemusic” has repeatedly reverted many edits from several users, reports them to admins to have them blocked, plays the victim in every situation, multiple users have tried to talk to them on their talk page but ultimately deletes it and acts as if they didnt receive anything. This user should not be making any edits to pages knowing their history of edit warring/starting fights. Dival1999 (talk) 16:47, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rudeness

[edit]

Hi there. I found your comment, MJV479, its a fucking template, read what everyone else is telling you (at [1]) was rude to the user who has not been rude to anyone but has genuine concerns. I suggest you apologies to the user. Regards, Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 17:55, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to this: yes, it is, and sure, I have done so. (Also, pings don't work if you forget to sign ;) .) --JBL (talk) 18:04, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously

[edit]

I can't see the reason for all the Sturm und Drang over William's sig. It's been like that as far back as I can remember. On the one hand, who cares? On the other, just change it .-- Deepfriedokra 22:23, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks I did understand the first half, but "Pointing to a random medical quack" led me to think it might be some local joke so I asked. --DBigXray 23:21, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Deepfriedokra, yah, same here, but now its more of his attitude over it now, I just want this to all be over. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 23:07, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Feb 2020 Message

[edit]

You left a message on my talk page: ¨This is your only warning. If you make personal attacks again, you may be blocked from editing.¨ What does being ¨blocked from edititing¨ mean? Does it mean I cannot edit Wikipedia AT ALL? Or does it mean that I can delete my current account and create a new one, and still be able to edit? Am I still going to be able to access Wikipedia? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jam ai qe ju shikoni (talkcontribs) 09:49, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jam ai qe ju shikoni, blocked from editing means you will be unable to edit for however long the blocking admin sets it for. and if you make a new account to get around the block, that is considered WP:SOCKING and is not allowed. Regardless, you will still be able to read Wikipedia no matter what.LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 13:03, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
