You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Aurora, Cayuga County, New York. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
I've warned both of you, please take it to the talk page. Thank you. Novusuna talk 23:00, 17 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your recent edits

[edit]

Hello, I would like you to know that your recent edit where you called the other user a anonymous cowered, is against WP:NPA. please read this page to get an understanding of what is right and wrong. Thanks,

Personal attacks

[edit]

I would like to add to the above caution. Do not attack other editors. Focus on content, not on the contributor. If you continue to insult an editor with whom you disagree, you are likely to be blocked. You do not know whether the other editor is a particular person with whom you have a non-Wikipedia issue, such as trespassing. Even if she is who you think she is, disclosing her outside identity (if she has not disclosed it) would be considered harassment and would violate the policy against doxing. Focus on content, such as whether there is or is not public lakefront access, not on the contributor. Personal attacks are not permitted in Wikipedia. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:02, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  A fluffernutter is a sandwich! Request reason:

I am a 35 year resident of Aurora, a resident on property that is being discussed on Wikipedia by someone who is anonymous, I have full knowledge of the property. If there was a hiking trail or a popular lakeside path or any of the other descriptions that person comes up with, it would show up on the village website and it does not. http://auroranewyork.us/about/visitworkmove-here/#title5 Laholland (talk) 17:51, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are blocked for edit warring; you'll need to address that in any unblock request. --jpgordon::==( o ) 18:25, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
