Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Parakkum Paavai may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nadodi (1966 film), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Tom Dooley and DMK. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

content requires sources

[edit]

Please stop adding your personal analysis and commentary to Soora Samhaaram. Article content must be verifiable as having come from a reliably published source such as a book, or cultural magazine, or newspaper. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 02:03, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is by no means a personal analysis, they are simple observations of order dress rehearsal, information, lightings, Look correctly all the movies. Re-aim at your classics before emitting your personal appreciations !— Preceding unsigned comment added by Lacour ferdinand octave (talkcontribs)
Without verification that the comparisons have been made and published in reliable sources it is indeed original research and personal observations that have been challenged and CANNOT be readded without an inline citation. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 03:38, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Lacourferdinand, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Multiple accounts

[edit]

Hello Lacour ferdinand octave. Could you please confirm if this account is also you? If so, could you please link the two accounts as recommended under WP:VALIDALT in the section "compromised accounts". Please also ensure you are only using a single active account to edit the same topic area according to policy. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:00, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Sandow M. M. A. chinnappa Devar.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sandow M. M. A. chinnappa Devar.jpg, which you've attributed to http://mohanramanmuses.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/sandow-m-m-chinnappa-devar.html = Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 India License.. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ronhjones  (Talk) 02:02, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Language

[edit]

Can you please stop talking in French here? I don't know the language, and this is English Wikipedia, not French Wikipedia. Also, it is best to sort the songs in the same order as they appear on the soundtrack, not necessarily the order of their appearance in film. You have been blocked for 31 hours from editing for disruptive editing, as you did at Anbe Vaa. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:19, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked for disruptive editing, specifically for the unexplained removal of references, improper quote factoring, unexplained soundtrack re-organizing, edit-warring, and refusal to discuss your edits once another editor approached you with problems. Any continuation of this behavior once you are unblocked will not be tolerated. I will additionally point out that since this is a community project, your ability to communicate with other editors is very important, because WP:CONSENSUS is determined through discussion, and disputes are resolved through discussion. If French is your primary language, you might consider editing at the French Wikipedia until you are able to communicate effectively in English. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:42, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Cyphoidbomb,
What is the real motive for this blocking ?
Who disturbs you in what I published ?
F.LACOUR
I provided a clear explanation for why you were blocked. Read it. It's under the large orange box. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:37, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cyphoidbomb You may want to take a look at the unsigned message F.LACOUR left at User talk:Bgwhite#Lacour Ferdinand octave. They also left another one just above that. They have also been causing the same disruption at Aasai Mugam. Bgwhite (talk) 21:02, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, so personal attacks as well, I see. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:48, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cyphoidbomb, You have a funny way of thanking the voluntary contributors of your site! F.LACOUR.

Especially that in the soundtrack of ANBE VAA, you deliberately omitted a title which encloses the end of the movie in question!

While you are supposed to be, supposedly, reliable informants! We shall iron for word the reliable word in your case!

In the truth, you even made the approach(initiative) see which was wrong or reason.

You had already taken your "decision" to suspend me, without real valid, just motive by hammering, ceaselessly, that I vandalized the article!

For you, the fact that I just add a song in the list of the soundtrack, is called to vandalize an article!

While this title exists and who proves, thus and indubitably that you have never seen this movie!

What do I have to conclude from it?...

I have my answer: you are amateurs! F.LACOUR

By looking, the history, and since the beginning, it is I who was attacked(affected) at first personally, do not invert the roles, now!F.LACOUR

Proposed deletion of Soora Samhaaram

[edit]

The article Soora Samhaaram has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

tagged for notability for 2 years and for lack of sourcing for over a year, no evidence provided of meeting WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 21:21, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Famous"

[edit]

Hi there, I went through considerable trouble over a number of hours in these edits to bring M. G. Ramachandran filmography into some semblance of reasonable shape. Much of what I had to cut was inappropriate fluffy statements, like "the famous American", "the great Tamil actor", "under his famous banner", "with the great director", "the same famous French writer". These are all peacock phrases. I also took great pains to try to make sense of the problematic grammar that was in the article. When you come back and add more of the "famous" stuff here, ("The producer B. Vallinayakam, the famous movie maker, A. V. Meiyappan 's brother-in-law."), apparently with no awareness that these phrases are inappropriate tone for a professional encyclopedia, it is somewhat irritating. I've once again fixed your contribution. If English is not your primary language, you might consider editing at a Wikipedia branch in your native tongue until you get the hang of English. Note that communication is important in a community project, so you need to be able to adequately express yourself in English and you should be using article talk pages to seek help when you are confused. To date I don't think I've seen you communicate with the community unless someone deleted something, or reverted something, and in those cases you rambled in French, which is (of course) not appropriate for the English Wikipedia. Please elevate your contributions. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:56, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
