DYK for Mario Kart: Super Circuit

[edit]

On 18 February 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mario Kart: Super Circuit, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the release of Mario Kart: Super Circuit in China was cancelled because of excessive video-game piracy in the country? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mario Kart: Super Circuit. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mario Kart: Super Circuit), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Period in a caption

[edit]

MOS:CAPFRAG says: "If any complete sentence occurs in a caption, then all sentences, and any sentence fragments, in that caption should end with a period or full stop."

And "The player, as Yoshi, races on one of the game's tracks" is a complete sentence. BorgQueen (talk) 13:14, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion polling etc

[edit]

FYI. WP:ONUS is policy. It states: The responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content. This can be attempted through talk page discussion, but do not restore the disputed material. Fortuna, Imperatrix Mundi 20:16, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

L Ke, I've placed a final warning regarding Fortuna's behavior at User_talk:Fortuna_imperatrix_mundi#Opinion_polling_for_the_next_United_Kingdom_general_election. See also the post I made immediately before that final warning which I posted to their talk page before their second reversion on the page. Unilaterally attempting to remove this material when WP:NOTSTATS itself notes this format as a way to proceed is way out of line. --Hammersoft (talk) 20:30, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, and thank you l ke (talkcontribs) 22:57, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This article has been edited by 100+ users, been up since July of last year, and had endless discourse around it on its talk page including a denied AfD. The disruptive edit here is obviously removing all content on said page, not maintaining the status quo. I'm not sure why you thought you would just get away with blanking a major page, especially considering you seem to be an experienced editor on here. l ke (talkcontribs) 22:57, 17 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
