Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. 331dot (talk) 10:13, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have read your email. Please post any further messages relating to Wikipedia editing here, rather than in an email, unless there is something to be said which must be kept confidential, which is not so in this case. I am not sure what further information you want other than that which I gave in the block log reason, which you have certainly seen, as you emailed me a link to it. If you can tell me more precisely what further information you want then I will try to answer you. JBW (talk) 11:51, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I didn't even bother to use zerogpt: it's blindingly obvious that this was wasn't written by a human being who understands the reasons for the block. JBW (talk) 11:43, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Subject: Appeal for Account Unblock due to "Abusing Multiple Accounts" -Specified editing (sitewide)(https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Vusi_Thembekwayo) 1. I was trying to correct a date of birth on a article that was written by the page creator, Wikipedia Case Date of birth that was given by the article creator was 12 March 1985 and in the infbox as 21 March. 2. The sources I confirmed his birth date with may have been the one's that got me mislead, Instead I should have changed the date of birth to null until authentinc information has been found, But lesson learnt and I promise not to edit any and give any information that is not varified. 3. I got to give it a time and went through to every wikipedia guidelines I now understand how the community works as I a have recently joined the community with less knowledge and insights, I would like to say I'm now informed and I'm looking forward on bringing positive changes, contributions and edits in the community. 4. The last case of using a bot I was unsure on how to script a wikipedia appeal, I admit I used a bot to script the message, again lessson learnt, looking forward hearing from you admins. Per JBW below. Please describe concisely and clearly how your edits merited a block, what you would do differently, and what constructive edits you would make. Please read Wikipedia's Guide to appealing blocks for more information. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:09, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • That unblock request looks as though it was written by a human being, but it does not show any understanding at all of the reason for the block. To help you, I invite you to answer the following questions:
  1. Where did you get the texts that you posted into the draft which you created?
  2. Who is paying you, or is expected to pay you, for creating a Wikipedia article? (To avoid a very common misunderstanding, you are paid to create the article if doing so forms part of work for which you are paid, whether there is a specific sum designated for the Wikipedia part of the work or not. So, for example, if you are contracted to do online publicity for a client, and as part of that work you create a Wikipedia article, then you are being paid to do so.) JBW (talk) 18:48, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

JWB It was definately written by a human being sir, thanks for the invite to answear your questions

  1. The texts were handled to me by the the content creators/assistants of the public figure I wrote about.
  2. Yes 100% sir, I will be paid for the publication of the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LWANSTAR (talkcontribs) 13:57, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for those answers. They confirm what I thought was the situation, but it is helpful to know for certain. The problem is that you have been contracted to re-create material which has been posted before and deleted. Previous accounts used for the purpose have been blocked from editing, and the people who have engaged you to do the work are attempting to use you to evade the effect of those blocks. You personally were probably acting in good faith, but what you were engaged to do is contrary to Wikipedia's policies, and I am confident that no administrator will unblock you so that you can continue to do the same. If you would like to start making other kinds of contributions to the encyclopaedia then you may like to ask to be allowed to do so, but if you aren't interested in doing so then Wikipedia is not the right place for you. User:JBW User:Deepfriedokra I'm down for making other contributions to the encyclopedia community and I would request once again to be unblocked to I can start making my contributions thank you, and promosing not to repeat my lasts actions that lead my account to be blocked. User:JBW If I may ask politely, what was the main reason for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Mr Mogashoa's page removal? LWANSTAR (talk) 04:22, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

See the discussion below. JBW (talk) 19:05, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Which topics do you want to edit, if unblocked? PhilKnight (talk) 22:22, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User:PhilKnight Well to name a few - Technology, Arts, Society, Politics, Sports, Health, Environment, Popular Culture and Miscellaneous.

Can I also assist public figures on creating their pages or I will only be allowed to edit after the unblock?

If you want to "assist public figures" that then treads into conflict of interest and/or paid editing territory. 331dot (talk) 12:28, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User:331dot Thanks for the information, all noted.

Dear User:JBW and admins.

Thank you for your detailed response. In order to clarify any confusion from my side can you please confirm some questions I have:

1. A new page for Tebogo Mogashoa needs to be drafted for approval through the Paid Publishing process.

2. Can I personally upload the latest Draft?

3. Concerning the actual content of the Draft for Tebogo Mogashoa are you able to confirm whether this falls within the Wikipedia policy and guidelines or whether the content of the Draft still needs to be revised.

It is important for me to fully understand the procedures outlined by the Wikipedia moderators for the creation of paid articles and the review process. I would be most grateful if you can provide further feedback on the above. The initial draft was supposed to be a paid publish and not a community publish. This is where I was wrong. I trust that you understand it was never my intention to breach any Wikipedia rules and guidelines. And would like to thank you for advising me the correct process and route to follow.

Thank you for your time in this matter,

@JBW: Meh. Pretty cynical about this, but I'll ask anyway. OK to unblock? I cannot decline again. Any condtions need edfor unblocking?-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:20, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Deepfriedokra: Well, as I said above, probably LWANSTAR was editing in good faith, and although I haven't gone back and re-read every edit to refresh my memory, I suppose it's likely that I wouldn't have blocked if it hadn't been for the fact that he was being used by someone else to help evade a block. That being so, I'll remove the block.
LWANSTAR, please be sure that you stick closely to the guideline on conflict of interest, to avoid being blocked again. JBW (talk) 19:03, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Deepfriedokra @User:JBW thank you, the unblock is much appreciated I will make sure I comply with the guidelines this time around.
