[edit]

Hello, I'm Synoman Barris. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Manchester Metrolink, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Megan B.... It’s all coming to me till the end of time 18:35, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am the source who works for the company the article is about. LRV1007 (talk) 18:57, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have previously mentioned that you work for the company the article is about. That's both a conflict of interest WP:COI, and original research WP:OR. The former is discouraged, the latter is disallowed. --10mmsocket (talk) 19:17, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see, following further research, I did not re-upload the information in the last 2 months while awaiting publishing from a official source that may then be cited..... LRV1007 (talk) 19:44, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There was nothing in the given reference about Manchester Metrolink tram numbers. 10mmsocket (talk) 20:31, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I found the right link (on page 3) clicked it and used it to update your reference. Take a look and see if that explains more how references work. You did a good initial job. 10mmsocket (talk) 22:44, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Much appreciated! I will look further into doing it correctly! I think I don't receive the full page on my mobile phone so will try and look into it further on the desktop. LRV1007 (talk) 09:14, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Forums & Fansites

[edit]

Take a look at WP:RS and then WP:UCG. Those forums/fansites don't cut it as Wikipedia references. Good on your for at least looking though. Keep it up! Thanks. --10mmsocket (talk) 17:58, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Still catching up with the whole technology world, It has evaded me for too long! On the "News" section of that site there is usually Photographic evidence uploaded each time a new tram is delivered (On average every third Saturday). I would presume that would be satisfactory, and if so the reference should be updated accordingly? Thanks for the assist! LRV1007 (talk) 18:31, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

deleting cited content

[edit]

We noticed you're making contributions on an article about which you seem both knowledgeable and passionate. Thanks for helping! A friendly suggestion: approach your addition to the encyclopedia as though it were an important school assignment worthy of your precious time. Gather your sources, scribble a draft, let someone suggest edits, write it all down, tidy it all up, make sure it's sourced (make dam'd sure it's sourced) and the changes you're attempting will likely find a way into the article, given both factual and appropriately sourced.

Thanks again for building a truly unique encyclopedia Saintstephen000 (talk) 02:39, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
