Welcome!

Hello, LIGATTSecurity, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Gregory D. Evans, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! God Emperor (talk) 21:40, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Gregory D. Evans

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Gregory D. Evans, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Lacking in notability. Possible advertising and serious conflict of interest of only editor (LIGATTSecurity). Littered with external links to LIGATT Security International and other websites.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Username/edits

[edit]
Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.

However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am new to Wikipedia and should have done more research before creating the User Name and pages. My name is Amanda Duggan and I am a recent graduate of Georgia Southern University. My degree is in Public relations and I am currently trying to understand how to create and edit websites for blogging purposes, etc.I am familiar with Gregory Evans and his company and upon researching, I found that he nor his company were apart of Wikipedia. Therefore, I decided to create the 2 pages. LIGATT Security is well known, and I think it would benefit students and individuals alike whom conduct research, etc. on the company for the information to be displayed on Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

In that case, this username is even more inappropriate. The username suggests a link with the company, and is therefore blocked. I would suggest you to a) create a new account, and then b) to read policies and guidelenes of this website before editing further. The pages you have created are in no way comparable to other pages here (and where they are .. well, that is still not a reason to advertise in this way). --Dirk Beetstra T C 14:36, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
