Boykin Spaniel

I reverted your revert. And will continue to do so because it did not read as well once you updated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boykinspanieling (talkcontribs) 00:24, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

I reverted your revert again. And will never stop professor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boykinspanieling (talkcontribs) 01:12, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

@Boykinspanieling: I only reverted your original changes. Other users, citing Wikipedia's Manual of Style, reverted your subsequent changes. Please see Bold, revert, discuss for an explanation of the collaborative editing process on Wikipedia; continuing to re-instate changes without consensus is disruptive. Stile Project

I added the NOINDEX because the individual with alias "Jay Stile" begged that the page " be taken down or blocked or something" because it was ruining his life, as it contained his real name. I told him the best I could do was NOINDEX after removing his real name. I would not say that the intention for removal was temporary at all. I haven't been policing the page, and cannot devote my life to doing so. So I'd say that the NOINDEX should stay, as long as there's a risk that the real name could be added back at any time. Lexein (talk) 06:33, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

@Lexein: Could we move this discussion back to the noticeboard? In any case, I don't think blanket NOINDEXing because someone could add some information to a page is appropriate. And, if it isn't supported by sources, such an allegation should be reverted and considered for suppression. LFaraone 01:41, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
I seem not to have write privileges via mobile at the noticeboard (no edit ability), or I would have responded there. Feel free to move this there if you like. Thanks for the tip re suppression: that sounds like a better long-term solution. --Lexein (talk) 05:07, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi Luke, I've emailed you on a matter related to the ArbCom election. Tony (talk) 10:39, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Luke, a reminder that if you want to be included in the stats, we'll need your survey back, say, within 8–12 hours. I hope you do decide to participate—such surveys have been of reader interest in past coverage (WMF Board elections, etc). Thx. Tony (talk) 03:06, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks Tony1. Apologies, the past two weeks have been particularly busy for me; was travelling for a conference all last week, and earlier this week was at a few all-day meetings. I'll respond to your mail soon. LFaraone 03:10, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, Luke. If it's motivational, the survey is a quick task! Tony (talk) 03:39, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Activity note

As a FYI: due to thanksgiving, combined with an injured friend I spent most of last night with in the ER, I've been less active this week than I'd like. LFaraone 18:14, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
